Location was perfect, the owners and workers very good, the food and service were like you were in someone's home, very congenial. The rooms were clean and quite spacious for European standards. The walls were wallpapered, as were the doors, some of the windows had screens and some did not. Our room had a view of a burnt annex and...

The three of us stayed here on a motorbike long weekend hol, the staff are excellent, our rooms spacious and clean and tidy, we stayed in the new apartments and parked our bikes in the garages underneath , the breakfasts are excellent with a wide choice of cereals, breads, meats, cheeses etc, the location is quiet and close enough to...

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights early in June. It is on the eastern side of Ypres, about 3 km from the centre and easily accessible from the motorway. It has its own grounds containing a small pond (originally WW1 shell craters), a bunker, trenches and there are very interesting remnants of the war lying on the ground....

My son and I stayed Kasteelhof for 2 nights to visit Ieper and various WW1 museums and cemeteries. The location is perfect, only about 5 minutes from the centre of Ieper and next to the T'Hooge Crater Museum. The room we had was in the new annex and was large, modern and spotlessly clean. The meals that we had were...

I recently stayed here with 3 friends whilst cycling across part of the western front. The hotel was very accommodating especially in providing secure storage for our bikes. It was ideally situated for our evening in Ypres and provided a clean, spacious room with a large en suite bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and a good night's sleep was...

Stayed here from 7th May 2015 to 11th May 2015 with my husband and parents. We were visiting our great great uncle who is buried in Ypres Town Cemetary. We stayed in the extension part of the hotel which was lovely and modern. The beds were very comfortable and a single quilt each on the bed was lovely and stopped...

A family expedition to Ypres, to introduce the boys to my great-uncle Archie, who fell at Ypres on 28th April 1915 and is buried In a CWGC cemetery south-east of Ypres. The hotel was rebuilt after the war and is just across the road from the Hooghe Crater cemetery. Within the grounds...

Stayed in the original rooms which were quite spacious. Good bathrooms but be a bit careful in the bathtub/shower as it can be slippery. Good wifi and breakfast. Hotel has trenches and craters from the WW1 front-line in the grounds and is a good place to explore other sites from. You would probably need a car to get around, is...

Staff were helpful, rooms and breakfast ok. The old building has character rooms with charm, the new building is sterile and modern suggest you confirm were your staying as pictures on site are misleading. Overall it was clean and tidy within a few miles of Ypres centre.
