We spent 2 nights at this wonderful B&B. Our room was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, including free wifi. The owner, Sofie, was fantastic, very down to earth and easy to talk to. She gave us a great restaurant tip (see separate review) as well as great tourist recommendations. The museums she recommended were excellent. After leaving Ypres...

One night stopover on a cycling trip around Ypres and the Somme. Despite some confusion over names and perceived bed requirements, it was perfect. From the welcome we received, the safe place to put our bikes, the comfy room and bed, the strong and powerful shower, the friendliness of the owners, the location of the b&b, 2 mins walk from...

We highly recommend the Cocoon B&B when staying in Ypres. Hosts Sophie and Lode are both locals and they made us feel very welcome. The rooms are large, clean and modern, breakfast is yummy and the location is central.

What a welcome. Staying at the Cocoon is like staying with an old friend. You cannot be made more welcome. With only three rooms the personal service is superb. My friend and I were visiting the Ypres area as part of a longer tour of WW1 sites in Belgium and France. We chose Cocoon based on reviews from previous guests. Already when exchanging emails with Sophie I was struck by how friendly and open she was. She and Lode gave us a fantastic welcome to their beautiful home, and...

We booked several months early and the email response was warm and friendly so we were naturally looking forward to our stay. Well the warmth of the initial welcome, and the enthusiastic hospitality simply amazed us. The decor was great, the comfort high, and the breakfast so wholesome - farm fresh eggs, freshly baked bread and croissants, and so it...

Visiting Ieper to commemorate my Great Uncle's death in May 1915. Cocoon is 5 minutes from the Cloth Hall, 5 minutes from the station. Quiet. Ideally situated. Free car parking is 200 metres away. Comfy and spacious room and bathroom. Small breakfast area where you can sit down at a table and brew up at any time. Breakfastes will keep...

Four of us just returned from 3 nights at Cocoon and could not fault it. A great welcome from Sofie made us feel totally relaxed from the start. The car park opposite is currently out of use so she immediately jumped in the car and took me to the nearest free car park (2 minutes walk away). Rooms clean and...

Stayed one night whilst visiting Menem Gate - Sophie was friendly, helpful and gave us an excellent breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable - the hotel location is in a quiet side street so a good nights' rest is assured but you are only minutes from the city centre. Well Done Sophie and Lode
