On the second leg of our June holiday we once more stayed at the Marion hotel Oostende Belgium. We have stayed at this family run hotel many times before, it is a comfortable reasonably priced hotel with garage parking at a small price and without a doubt the best beer house in the whole of the Belgian coast, as I've... My usual watering hole in Ostend, never let me down, fantastic range of beers, and the freshly cooked food is to die for, not cheap, but very good!!. If you like to try different Belgian beers, then this bar is a must to visit!!, do not miss it.

I was a regular visitor between 1987 and 1999 or thereabouts and attracted more by the Café Botteltje adjacent and owned by the same hosts. I've reviewed the bar separately. Whilst I've reviewed the cafe bar in glowing terms I can't do so about the hotel. The café bar is an outrageous success but seemingly at the price of neglecting... More

Having visited here many times, just back from my most recent visit, cannot be faulted, beer choice runs to 100s of brews, all food is freshly cooked to order, and is of a very high standard. If you are in Ostende, do not miss it!!.

Stayed here several times. Its a budget hotel which offers all the basic facilities, but the star attraction has the be the Bottleje below. A massage range of beers available from the huge menu. Superb food and drink and a great atmosphere.

I come from a travel background and have stayed in many hotels all over the world - this quite literally was the WORST hotel I have ever stayed in. I looked at the website before I wrote this review and honestly I did not recognise that this was the same hotel - I had to double check the invoice for... More

Spent a few nights with freinds at the Hotel Marion. Exceptional value and close to the centre of Ostend. The hosts were just superb and even offered to cook our English bacon (that sounds really naff - taking bacon on holiday - please allow me some indulgence). I even had a sea view from my bedroom, admittedly only after craning... More

“I always prefer a room on the front and no lower than the second floor. We had Room 20 on this visit which was of a decent size but had a proper balcony from which you can see the sea. Apparently Rooms 30 and 40 are similar but without the full balcony. Nearby building workers kicked in about 0800 - but you should be awake by then anyway. I have never tried the top appointed rooms but they are reputed to be very good.”
