Hotel's Favourite
Fabulous hotel about 2.5 km from the centre of Bruges . Comfortable bed, clean room, good shower. Staff went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and had a great stay. Very friendly staff in the restaurant who were attentive, helpful , friendly, cheerful and efficient. Gijs was our server on our first evening. He was lovely, very efficient at his job and made us feel welcomed. Bianca our server on our 2nd evening (didn’t notice it was only her second evening working there) was very good at her job. Bart the manager was very attentive, friendly and gave us extras. The meals we had both evenings were very good and the extras were a nice and unexpected touch. Excellent chef. Catered well for a vegetarian and a lactose free diet. The warm pear salad was the best salad I had eaten in a long time. The hotel was nicely decorated for Christmas. Highly recommend a stay there. Hope to return sometime. 10/10

Booked 2 nights at this hotel for a romantic trip to Bruges. The romance is to be found at Bruges though. This hotel is clean, modern and aimed at the more active and sporty tourist. It's exactly what the 2 of us needed since we love the luxury of the perfectly air conditioned room, the roomy bathroom with a nice bath, etc. The bicycles we rented at the hotel (we could've enjoyed the sauna or tennis court in stead) were maintained perfectly and enabled us to go for a 60 km bike ride without any issues whatsoever. The breakfasts and dinner we had at the adjacent restaurant O'Velo were excellent without any excesses. The only reason why I went for a "Very Good" rating in stead of "Excellent" is because of a few mix ups during the checking in and out partly to do with the booking agency (Weekendesk) that promised us 2 complimentary bicycles in stead of the 1 we were offered by the hotel and 2 drinks that were wrongfully added to the bill by the restaurant staff. I'd book again in a heartbeat though.

Having a husband addicted to cycling limits drastically the freedom of life. Any event interfering in their training programs, TV coverage or food intake (not to mention the post-training re-hydration on the local beer stuff), may lead to decline of alternative travel or visits. So Brugge, Venice of the north, cultural destination to millions on this planet, kind of found a way around this.
It is called Velotel, brand new, modern, ideally located at crossroads of main cycling roads, pictures of cyclists galore and extra bed for his precious bike if requested (might be worth asking) but also at walking distance of a truly historic gem called Brugge die Scone, still respecting the training plans, TV coverages and re-hydration post traini

Very good hotel in quiet area, around 30 mins walking to city center. We don’t take any bus, we enjoy the walk.
The room is in good size, comfort bed, good hot shower. No complain.
The parking is secured, it costs 5 Euros per day. However, there is also free parking which is on the back of the hotel.
Breakfast is as good as hotels in Europe, no fancy, but good quality and enough to fill your stomach.
The hotel offers the E-Bike rental, it costs 35 Euros per day, good for sightseeing around Brugges & the places nearby.

Absolutely wonderful hotel. Very quite and the walk to the city gives you a little tour through some beautiful belgian streets.
Because of this thing called 'Coronavirus' (don't know if you heard about it) everybody is on their feet and serving you at your table during breakfast (which is great as well; you have the choice between three different types). So don't give them a hard time and appreciate the wonderful rooms, the lovely garden in this beautiful city. DO IT!

The hotel is situated about 2 miles outside Bruges in a quiet neighbourhood. You can walk into the city and the helpful staff at reception will provide a map as well as instructions on what streets to take. The hotel charged us 163.70 euros a night with an extra 5 euros to park your car in their large garage. Whilst the reception and breakfast (good buffet) areas are modern, the rooms are basic and the bathrooms and corridors need a good refurb. Ok Bruges is expensive but we didn't feel that the prices they are charging are reasonable given how far out the hotel is as well as the state of decor in the rooms and corridors. We don't think we would stay here again.

Excellente place to stay nice clean easy to relax because located « inside » a park
Close to the city . Everything good
Ask for higher floor because the large windy Make you privacy not to private is visible from neighbors …close the cotton and you will be in the dark ? A treatment window will be good if a light extra one will be perfectly fine to enjoying your stay without the neighbors washing you move .
The hotel is a good location and friendly . Probably the best place if you like biking ? Because everything is about bikes here …
I will come back , if a good rapport price

Nice and well maintained hotel. For bikers this is a great location, if you want to visit Bruges then you’ll need a car or taxi. The room was meeting my expectations except for the soft mattresses and the weak Wi-Fi signal. If you want dinner you need to reserve upfront although there were only 7 tables of 2 people occupied. Very expensive restaurant for this kind of hotel. Service in the restaurant takes long and the food is tasty. The waiter was very attentive and kind. Breakfast buffet was great!

Dear, a rollaway bed is possible, mail us to organise it for you.
A late check in is possible because the front office is open day and night. Room service is possible until 23:00
Dear Esimmo, we have a luggage room where you can leave your items safe.
The Velotel has an arrangement with a taxi company which seems a good deal, although we never needed to use it. The deal was in the form of a voucher for which you paid 20Eu at the reception desk. This paid for a taxi to pick you up at the hotel and take you to anywhere in the city. You could then ring them to take you back to the hotel from an agreed pick up point. As the taxis were large people carriers, this deal would be particularly good for a large group and certainly OK for a wheelchair. Perhaps ring the hotel to arrange this for you. Hope this helps.
Dear Laura,
Thank you for your message. The best way to get to the hotel from the airport, is by public transport. There is a frequent connection between Brussels and Bruges central train station. From the central station, there is a frequent bus that stops in walking distance from the hotel. This is bus Line 3 and the busstop is called Tempelhof.
For more detailed descriptions you can visit our website or contact us via phone or email.
We will be happy to help you!
Kind Regards,
The Velotel Team
