We stayed in the room pictured, with blue bedding and a red painting on the wall. Had we known it was two flights of spiral staircases up, it would have helped my vertigo! Pretty basic all around, but everything works. Shower was just OK, but no toiletries provided so we had to go to a night shop to buy some...

Built in a typical house, this hotel has a good location, close to the centre in a quite street. The room (number 2) contains 2 single beds and a double, was not so big but comfortable enough for my family (two adults and two children of 3 and 6). Breakfast is very good and cheaper than the other hotel breakfast...

A very reasonably priced hotel just a few minutes walk from the city centre and many of its attractions. Good buffet breakfasts and a very friendly and helpful multilingual host that goes the extra mile for children and really makes the place.

Fantastic location in the centre of BRUGGE. Mireille is a wonderful and fun hostess - and the INCLUDED continental breakfast is really excellent. BRUGGE is such an easy city to just walk around, and Hotel van Eyck is in the perfect location. Would certainly stay again without any hesitation.

(+) Excellent location (1 block away from the Markt), polite and very helpful hostess, very good breakfast, quiet street yet near the centre, beautiful and personalised interior decoration. (-) Required more cleaning, especially in the bathroom. Also the building is very old and several facilities (like shower or cable connections) require some renovation.

Property: Quaint and charming hotel with a very friendly helpful owner, Mireille. Clean room with private bath. Good sleeping bed. Flat screen tv. Cheap wifi ($5/day). Excellent breakfast. View of bell tower from our room. With the window open, we could enjoy the music from the square. Very enjoyable. With the window closed the room was quiet. We visited in...

Old house turned into a small hotel. Great location in the centre. Its owner (Mireille) is fantastic: she's friendly and tries to speak in your own language, as soon as you arrive she gives you a map and a lot of information about events, places to visit and so on, she goes with you to the room, opens the door...

Never written one of these before but having just stayed at this hotel i can't advise anyone else to either!! The rooms we had were not as described, the laundry was not clean when we got to the room, smelling damp and unclean, shower head wouldn't stay on bracket, toilet wasn't clean, couldn't close the bathroom door, and having slept...

This hotel is in a good central location and has a very helpful host. Beyond that it's a little disappointing. For Brugge the price is good but still expected it to be in better condition both inside and out as we found it a little tatty. The breakfast room has been decorated but our room (no.5) was quite rough around...
