We stayed three nights and they were wonderful. The room was compact but comfortable. The location can't be beat, and Marc and Sam are the best! Breakfast was delicious. We'll stay here next time, hopefully very soon.

Our first thought was that we wished we were staying at the Best Western next door! It did not help that a new building is being erected right opposite the hotel. However the Van Eyck won us over! Our room was tired looking but very clean and comfortable. The owners are extremely pleasant and helpful and breakfast each day in...

I stayed at the hotel in Oct. The owners were friendly and helpful. The location is great, just off the market and bell tower areas. The breakfast was very plentiful and quite good. The spiral staircase is interesting, though like much of the hotel is a little tired looking. The room was extremely plain, almost YMCA like. However, the bed...

I have been to Bruges three times so far and have always stayed at Hotel van Eyck. I found it by accident the first time and since then it has been the only hotel i have stayed at every time I've visited Bruges (my favourite town). It is a very simple but cozy hotel, very clean. I felt at home...

This was a good hotel in what has turned out to be one of my favourite places in the world so far. The hotel itself was a really cool 17th century mansion converted to a hotel. The breakfast room felt like a room in an Austrian palace. Our room (#5) was actually pretty average compared with the beauty of the...

This converted mansion has 8 rooms up a really neat spiral staircase. The single (also listed as a "cozy double") was VERY small, and the furnishings were very simple - although the double bed was quite comfortable. The bathroom was small but well appointed. The location is fabulous, only a minute from the Markt, and the 4 rooms in the...

The hotel was just what we were looking for. It is a very charming converted mansion. The staircase is beautiful and our room was large for European standards. The bathroom was still a little cramped but was bigger than most of the bathrooms we have had in Europe. It was very clean and comfortable. The location is great being within...

My friend and I were looking for an inexpensive hotel for our 2 night stay in Brugge. We decided on the Van Eyck and were very pleased with our choice. This small hotel is right in the centre on a narrow street two minutes walk from the Market Square. The owner, who took over the hotel in Spring 2004, was...

What a nice hotel. It was small and friendly, and when we looked out our window we discovered we had an amazing view of the Belfort - a famous and beautiful sight of the city. It was so quiet, great location just a few blocks from the Markt, and there was a delicious breakfast included. Highly recommended. It was a...

I was looking for a clean, pleasant hotel in downtown Brugge for my family of three. I had heard that Brugge was a fantastic city, but caters to tourists and therefore has a tendency to be overpriced. I often pick hotels over the internet, but when looking at 2 star accommodations, I am never really sure what to expect. The...
