After nearly two months of travelling around northern Europe, this was by far the best accommodation we have found. The apartment was very central, and we could look out of our windows at the spires and tiled rooftops of the city. Apartments themselves were tastefully decorated and very comfortable. But the best of everything was friendly and exceptionally helpful service from Erik and his wife. We ended up arriving in the city a day earlier than originally planned, and as Erik had no extra availability, he scoured the city for an extra room and booked us in there under his name. With two children in tow, we were endlessly grateful!

If you've ever frequented the bars of Greenwich Village in NYC you will appreciate this super local bar tucked away on a quiet street. The owner is a world traveler and musician. You'll feel instantly at home and have a unique peek at where the locas go to drink away from tourists. Just great!

We stayed for one night at Lokkedize and want to go back there. We discovered this place by accident and just loved staying here. Eric and his wife make you feel at home and you hardly feel that you are staying in a hotel. Its like being a part of their family. The rooms are great and very well equipped. Our room had a small kitchenette so ideal for long stays. The room had TV and dvd player with some dvds in the room too. To have all these extra things in your room in an expensive place like Bruges is an absolute delight. Eric and Marianne run a small pub that is attached to the hotel. It is extremely popular with the locals and if you are lucky you can attend an a live performance there ( and yes , we were lucky!!!). He goes out of his way to make you feel at home in Bruges

Anyone who travels with kids knows how cramped and expensive hotels can be. When planning our trip to Bruges I looked at hotels, B&B's, and self-catering options. I wanted a place where we could all be comfortable, within walking distance to the places we wanted to visit in the city and at a reasonable price. We got all of these at Lokkedize. Erik, the owner, was great when making the arrangements. He was very nice and easy to work with. We found everything to be exactly as he described. The Lokkedize location is perfect. It is within walking distance of everything and is reasonably close to inexpensive parking. We are a family of 4 but a family of 5 or 6 could be just as comfortable. We had 2 bedrooms a living room, bathroom and kitchen. The kitchen seemed to be well equipped

Have stayed at this gem quite a few times over the years. Nice clean, modern Flats and studios. If there are two or more of you travelling then this is probably the most cost effective self catering option in Brugge. The resteraunt is very well priced and the food superb, with very friendly hosts. Not to be missed are the music nights.
