My boyfriend and I just stayed here for a lovely weekend break. The room was perfect and the house is spotless and beautifully decorated. The breakfast is to die for! One of the best I've ever had in any hotel! So good that we ate too much and were full for most of the day! Kees and Kathleen are extremely...

We echo the previous reviews. Kees and Kathleen are such gracious host, attending to your every need, supplying maps, his personal knowledge where to go and what to do. Thank you! ! The rooms is huge, the shower is wonderful, the TV set on CNN and its 100s of channels, the fantastic breakfast, what more can be said. It's centrally...

Our visit to Bruges was enhanced by the wonderful accommodations of Speelmansrei and our gracious hosts Kees Wallenkamp and Kathleen Carels. The exterior looks very old in keeping with the general architectural style of old Bruges. The interior is completely modern including a lift. We had a lovely room overlooking the garden and quiet canal behind the house. Kees gave...

Previous reviews we had looked at did not mislead. We were visiting Brugges as part of a driving holiday so the first big plus was that we could park up and leave the car in the garage 50 yards from the house. Well worth the 10 Euro a day charge. The house is so close to the heart of Brugges, the...

In the very centre of the wonderful city of Bruges, Speelmansrei B & B is an ideal base of exploration. Everything is within walking distance. Speelmansrei is a great historic house in a quiet street, adjacent to a nice garden and a small canal. The rooms are spacious, with very nice furniture and spotlessly clean. In the beginning of the...

My husband and I were fortunate to book one of two rooms for four nights at the Speelmansrei B & B in August. The location of the B & B was perfect, a 20 minute walk from the train station, on a quiet street yet minutes from the bustling Market Square, and walking distance to all the key sights and...

It was a fun holiday. I visited a lot of very interesting places ,thanks to great advice and guidance from Kees and Kathleen. The hearty breakfasts, beautifully prepared and plentiful after a good night's sleep in the comfortable bed ensured a good day ,every day. The location is easily accessible. I would stay there again if I visited Brugges

Ahh, Bruges - such a beautiful city. We stayed for a few days in August and had a wonderful time. This was our second time visiting Bruges and both times we stayed at the B&B Speelmansrei, we wouldn't stay anywhere else. The B&B Speelmansrei is simply fantastic and really adds something special to the experience of Bruges . The rooms...

Stayed for 2 nights. We enjoyed Kees and Kathleen's home as much as we enjoyed Brugge. Lovely room, beautiful breakfast, lovely people. Weather was beautiful so we were able to enjoy our coffee in their lovely relaxing garden. Would not hesitate to stop here again.

We booked a two day stay at this B&B on the basis of the reviews we read on Trip Advisor and we weren't disappointed! Kees and Kathleen are the perfect hosts and we were made to feel very welcome in their lovely home. Breakfast was excellent each day and more than enough for us (and we are big eaters). The...
