I stayed here 2 nights and had a canal view room which was perfect location. The music festival was going on during my stay that I wasn't aware of when I planned my trip, but it turned out to be a great experience and I had a super view of the event right on the canal. The hotel is run...

This is the place to stay. Walk out of the hotel and you are in the middle of the action along the canal and old town. Also if you are lucky enough, you might even have a canal view which is a whimsical experience. The service is outstanding in every way. Staff cannot be nicer. There was KIm at the...

It doesn't get more central than this. And they did a great job keeping the original facade on the quay side. You walk in the door of what seems to be a 18th century house and you immediately see a massive atrium in today's style. Amazing. The rooms are large, clean and cosy. Staff are not overly friendly, but not...

I booked this hotel for 2 nights in a deluxe room. This hotel is really good with great service and easy parking facilities. Perfect breakfast and very pleasant experience right in the middle of town. The hall of the hotel is unique in a perfect blend of old style building seen from the outside along the main canal with a...

We planned a short stay in Ghent and had originally tried to find a small independent hotel. However as we had left it late; it was during half term and we had our son (causing difficulties with the number of bed), we decided to book at the Marriott. I guess we had our ideas about it being a large chain...

This hotel is right on the main canal in the historic center of Ghent. The original facade has been maintained, but the lobby and rooms are very modern. We spent 4 nights here and it was lovely. The front desk and Poppi lobby bar staff were exceptionally helpful with restaurant recommendations, directions, and even ordered our train tickets for us....

Just stayed for 3 nights over half-term and thoroughly enjoyed staying at this hotel. It is in a fantastic location, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms were lovely, a good size and very comfy beds. The Poppi bar serving drinks and light meals etc is great with lovely cocktails! The only slight downside was breakfast was 24...

This is a good Marriott with excellent location and comfortable rooms and a very tasty and extensive breakfast buffet- you can even make your own waffles! The breakfast may be a bit pricey but having travelled similar hotels in the region I think it's about standard. The rooms are arranged around a high atrium so if you take the lift...

A most unusual Marriott - many of the usual attributes, but also some unique touches that take it to a different level. Perfect location, genuinely friendly and efficient young staff, nice rooms overlooking the canal, tasty breakfasts - all in a sensitive and striking architectural conversion that blends in with its ancient surroundings. I travelled with a friend and we...
