Our family of three stayed here and really loved it. Our host was one of the owners and was extremely friendly and helpful in navigating Ghent. He was also very knowledgeable about beer, which we appreciated! The property is lovely, very modern. It's right off the public transit train line, which made getting into the city very easy. I'd highly...

Upon arriving a kind gentleman received us. He explained us everything about the city and the basic knowhow. He helped us navigating in the city as well as in the hotel and we liked it a lot. The hotel itself was clean, with a nice staff and great a great walkthrough breakfast. If you wanted extras with your breakfast you...

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Carlton. The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We had a warm welcome followed by an overview of the City. We were given maps and a few suggestions for lunch. We had an excellent big room at the top of the hotel. It had a terrace which was available for...

Great hotel, location very comfortable, near central train station and close to tram station. Staff were so nice, so helpful, always smiling, gave us plenty of tips for the city. Breakfast was excellent! Pictures are misleading - it is so much better and so many options! Highly recommended this place.

Lovely overnight stay, and the staff were extremely helpful, helped us with where to go and what to see. Plenty of parking options, and about a 20 minute walk into the center of Ghent and 5 minutes from some nice restaurants. Hotel rooms were a good size, view wasn't anything special, but then you don't look at the window when...

Although this is a small hotel you could not ask for better, the rooms are all a good size and very well laid out, but what makes the place is the service the owners give you. All of their guest are given individual attention and nothing is to much trouble, all of the staff are very pleasant and attentive, particularly...

Having been to Ghent on many occasions for the 6 Day, this was my first stay at the Hotel Carlton. On arrival, we were greeted by the exceptional Stephen. When mediocrity seems to be the excepted norm, Stephen was a breath of fresh air. The hotel was busy upon arrival but we were quickly checked in. The room was spacious,...

High quality rooms. Excellent friendly and informative welcome. Very handy for the Six Days of Ghent cycling. Breakfast offered but brilliant pastries available at very reasonable prices from bakery over the road!
