We passed by Brooderie with no previous information and decided to have a table. It was a great autorize, good mediterranean/arabian food in a reasonable price. We spent like 35 euros including beer for two people. I recomend!

Tasty simple fare. The Mediterranean lunch was yummy, I quite liked the hummus. Mushroom soup was cheap and tasty (but the bread was from AH). I usually have more upper class tastes. But after several big expensive meals a cheaper option was welcome.

This simple little restaurant has great charm. A helpful waiter and very tasty and simple food. Twice now we have been there for breakfast and may go back for a final brunch. It's Mediterranean omelette is delicious is their coffee. They are also very generous with the yoghurt and fruit. Give it a try. It is centrally located to Castle...

We were pleasantly surprised with the Mediterranean lunch: three dips, flat bread, falafels, kibbeh, salad, and tabbouleh for €16. The place is very simple and small, but very well located. Staff was friendly and casual.

the nice atmosphere is gone, no organic products anymore, no friendly service, dirty toilets, not enough food, waiting a very long time, and we paid way too much! I really don't recommend it to anyone, waste of time and money :(

Charming place, cosy atmosphere, familial kitchen, delicious food! I can only recommend you to stop here, if there is a spot free (however you can try Club Reserva a few meters away), for a coffee, snacks, brunch...family (+ stroller) welcomed!!

Food ok, but nothing special. Single glazed windows, it was a cold day outside, and it was uncomfortably cold inside as well... A bit pricy for what you get... But you are in the centre of Ghent, so what can you expect...

Had breakfast here and thought that overall it was just ok. My husband had the breakfast ( pastry, bread, butter, jam, ham and cheese, 1 egg, orange juice, and coffee €12.20). I had mint tea, a croissant, and an egg. Liked: - Location - The menu is sufficient, with combinations such as mini breakfast, breakfast, and two breakfast types with...

Although maybe not really "alternative" - they probably bake more or less like everybody else - this small and always cramped bakery / cafe with it's wooden tables and chairs of different makes, in an old building close to everything in the old town of Ghent, is different and cozy. We were in room number one, above the cafe, a...

We felt pretty lucky to find a room at such short notice in this great location. I wouldn't normally choose apple green for a wall colour but it suited the style and the room was very spacious. Good breakfast with helpful & friendly owners. I prefer to have en suite toilette - but it was a small compromise. The location...
