We only had one night, but this place was perfect. Everyone was super friendly and gave good recommendations. We stayed in a private room that was clean, comfy and had a good view. Will definitely stay here next time.

I *mostly* liked this place. Location was great, common areas were very nice, rooms were what you'd expect in a hostel, and breakfast was pretty good too. The one major drawback - they set the heat in the rooms at 15 degrees Celsius at night (which started around 6pm). It was FREEZING! I had to sleep under multiple blankets, and...

Upon arriving in Gent Dampoort, we took a bus that takes us to Gent Sint Jacobs. From there it was about 10 minutes walk through cobble stones and with our big luggage, that made it a bit difficult. That was what we didn't like. However, the hostel is better than the trip there. The location was smack right in the...

My friends and I arrived in Ghent and saw that the Hostel was in a very good location, close to the center. I really appreciated the effort in the lobby with the decoration, flyers with activities events and lots of suggestions for walking tours. There is also a mini used book library that is very nice. The only thing that...

Everything is clean and new. Good breakfast and free WIFI. Only bad thing is check in is at 15 pm. But really close to city centre. Good rooms with your own shower and toilet (separated). Each bed has a light and electrical device to charge your phone or whatever.

My school took a group of 29 students and 4 staff for 4 nights in early July, from Newcastle on Tyne and had a great time. The rooms were comfortable, in the youth hostel spirit and did all we wanted. Breakfast was quite satisfactory, and evening meal was fine .Staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a quite satisfactory...

Hostel De Draecke is located very close to the central pedestrian area of Gent, Belgium. It's a beautiful area with lots of interesting historic buildings. The hostel itself, despite being recently renovated, is still very basic. The reception and dining area is very pleasant, however the rooms were very bare but were adequate for a one night stay. The beds...

I loved this hostel - the atmosphere i great, the rooms are big and newly refurbished and the hostel offers good tips on what to do in the city during the week. We followed their advise and ended up at a free concert which was great! The breakfast was good, too. Would definately stay here again.

I stayed in this hostel for only one night, but absolutely loved it. The location of the hostel is just perfect, itself it is nice and tidy, you can tell it had refurbishment not so long ago. Their bar has great beers and was lovely to have a chat with lovely lady who worked there. I would definitely recommend this...

I have been staying in this hostel already 2 years ago and I am glad they modernised and renovated it quite a bit. Every bed has now at least one power socket, an individual light, a small shelf, a locker (I didn't use the lock but I believe I read on it the use of the lock was 50cents). Breakfast...
