I was a bit worried due to some bad reviews, but we didn't find anything close to the negative things that were described. The hotel is located at perfect place, just at the heart of the city. We staid at the main building, facing the corner of the main and side street - very quite area. Our room was just...

.... for a weekend break. Central virtually opposite Castle and tram stop from Station. Very efficient and quick check-in for group of 7. Rooms nice size and cleaned first thing every day with clean towels. Good selection of food at continental breakfast. A good base for 3 days seeing the town sights.

Very central position. Lovely old style building with large rooms. We had a standard room but it was like a suite. We chose not to have breakfast so I can't comment on that but it's so good to have a fridge, safe and a bath with shower. We brought our small dog and he was made welcome. We loved the...

Excellent location, just around the corner from the castle. Right on the tram route to and from the station. Stroll around the corner and you are the middle of the city. Pleasant old building, nice courtyard and reception area. East going feel about the hotel. We had a standard plus room at the front of the hotel. Good level of room,...

The hotel is well located in the centre and most things are in walking distance. The superior double is charming and the ceiling is like a dome. Car park is available at the hotel for €11 per 24h. it is quite handy and comfortable when you arrive by car.

The location of this hotel is great: in the city center of beautiful Ghent. The hotel has large rooms, well equipped, sometimes a bit old, but good. Wifi is for free nowadays and available in the whole hotel. Breakfast is varied, complete and good. Service is very friendly.

We were delighted to discover that the hotel is 2 minutes' walk from the castle, and from the outside it looks classy. But they must live on former glory. We had to walk up and down narrow, twisty steep stairs to our room, which was rather small and had a strong smell of must. Our window gave onto a narrow,...

Location is really good - very close to the tram stop to/from the train station, and right next to Gravensteen Castle and a canal/bridge which makes for very nice scenery nearby. We were in the annexe building and the room was quite large with openable windows. We didn't get the breakfast, but did use the gym - it was ok...

The Hotel is well situated for exploring...many good places to eat in the area. Received a warm welcome from the young man at reception when we arrived...our room was only accessible by stairs so he carried our luggage up the 2 flights of stairs for us. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Excellent selection of food at the self-...

I was wondering what to write, as every hotel I've stayed in so far had something that was unique/quirky and things that can be improved. In this case everything was pleasurable and mainstream. We chose the hotel due to its excellent location for a stay in Ghent, taking into account its overall good reviews. I can only add to these...
