The only reason I haven't rated this B&B "Excellent/5 stars" was the fact that we are not particularly adept at using a bath (there was only a bath, and not a shower), so we were less at ease than we would have been with a shower. Otherwise, this B&B is really fabulous. It's gorgeous, with a very spacious bedroom, incredibly...

We have traveled throughout Europe and have stayed in many hotels and B&Bs, and Engelen Aan De WaterKant is truly one of the best. We stayed in Suite 1 and could not have been happier. It was absolutely immaculate! We had a little balcony that overlooked the canal, an extremely large bedroom (larger than our bedroom in Texas), and a...

This place- newly redecorated, and pristine- is immaculate. The colour scheme is white in the large two room suite, and I felt like I'd sullied it by my very presence. Ann Willems, the proprietor was very welcoming, and insisted on helping me upstairs with my luggage. She was apologetic about the lack of air conditioning, and gave us free rein...

We enjoyed a perfect weekend in the warmth and hospitality of hostess Ann and her husband that has been discussed in previous reviews. A two room B&B just outside the historical center in the Art district near the beautiful museum of fine Arts. 15 minute walk to center and easy to grap a tram into the city just around the...

Ann and Tony made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in the front door. The two rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. (Ann is an interior decorator.) Breakfasts were delicious with fresh squeezed orange juice, fruit, bread, pastry, ham, cheeses, and eggs. The bathrooms are large but only have tubs. They are adjacent to, but not in, the...

My husband and I stayed here for five nights during the Light Festival, and we couldn't have picked a lovelier place to stay. The location, the breakfast, the room, the bed linen, Ann and her husband -everything was lovely. We hope to return one day! We stayed in the huge first floor room and despite it being the middle of...

Ann made our one night stay as seamless and enjoyable as possible - great restaurant recommendations and a beautfiul property without an inch of imperfection. Highly recommend. Location is a brisk 10 min walk into the center, but this should not deter you from spending your time in Ghent at Ann's guesthouse - it is worth it.

We stayed for 6 nights at this outstanding B&B, by far the best in Ghent. The moment we were greeted by our charming hostess, Ann we knew we had chosen the right place to stay. The house was both comfortable and superbly decorated as one would expect as Ann is a famous designer. Ann was equally adept in the kitchen...

We managed to arrive on the wrong day for our lovely stay at this B&B but the owners fortunately were still outside the house when we arrived and very kindly let us stay anyway! The room was stunning, the house full of character and all of the bed linen etc was of the highest quality. Breakfast was also delicious. We...

We stayed at Engelen Aan De Waterkant B&B for four nights in June; a middle-aged couple with our 20-year old daughter. We stayed in the suite on the first floor which is very large and nicely decorated. Ann was so nice and welcoming! She gave us many tips and her breakfasts were fabulous. The B&B is within walking distance to...
