We stayed here for an overnight stop in Ghent and from the moment we arrived (greeted with glasses of Cava) the welcome was extremely friendly, and the staff's knowledge of the city was comprehensive. The building itself is extraordinary: a large house built for a textile baron in the 1840s that retains many of its original features. We were in...

Good sized room, lovely old hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. Cycle friendly. The breakfast was excellent and they even went so far as to turn on the coffee machine early and provide some breakfast well in advance of the normal hours. No lift. Small secure parking but at extra cost.

This hotel is really stylish, all rooms are equipped with typical classical belgian furniture, they have a good and friendly service, bus and metro are only 100 m away, 15 min walk to the center of Ghent. The hotel even has a fitness room. The only cautionary note is: there is no elevator and there are 70 steps to the...

The aptly named Charme Hotel is a listed building and retains all the old world characteristics and charm. The bedroom was spacious and we loved the antique furniture, and yet the room was still perfectly functional. Breakfast was nice with a good choice of breads, cheeses and pastries, with scrambled egg for those who wanted something hot. We arrived very...

Perfect location for visiting Ghent. Could not find any faults. Can not recommend this fine hotel highly enough. You step into a world of Romanticism when you walk in the front door . We could not resist nestling ourselves in front of the very inviting open fire in the foyer and sipping our first beverage in Ghent whilst chatting with...

Just outside the historical center, a short walk from the Cathedral, situated in a beautiful mansion. The Hancelot building comes with charm, and so does the staff. Kind and very attentive. Excellent breakfast serving, abundant. The room may us feel 'burghers' from way back.

Quite a special place in the Belle Epoque style and antique details such as the beautiful stairway. Staff (owners ?) are very friendly, a coffee was offered when checking in! The city center is at a walking distance, a tramway is within a 100 m. Parking (at 15€ per night) is available and is a good option. Breakfast is excellent....

A very nice and interesting room and bathroom. A good breakfast buffet. The hotel has a lot of antique details ans is very impressing. It is nearby the center of Gent and it has his own garage. You easy can walk from the hotel to the center and otherwise you can take the tram.
