I took a train/bus combo from Brussels and walked to the property in the town center. Everything is very close as Bastogne is small! I also did some research beforehand so I knew there would be no traditional "front desk" so to speak. You have to go to the restaurant a couple doors down and have someone let you in....

We loved this little place with an interesting breakfast every morning that included mimosa or plain champagne. Our room looked out on Rue McAuliffe named for the American general of the 101st Airborne that told the Nazis "Nuts" when ordered to surrender, the room was kept very clean with a super friendly staff. There was a nice restaurant on the...

My husband and I traveled with a 1 year old and the staff had a crib waiting for us before we even requested it. The room was clean and had adequate space, even if there was a little delay on account of the hotel staff also working the restaurant next door. The restaurant itself (in the train car building below...

Hotel Leo is right downtown Bastogne. Close to shopping, tourist locations and dining. The hotel is somewhat of a B&B meaning they don't really have a desk person working the front desk at all times. Which is fine if you know that ahead of time. The didn't have my Hotels.com reservation which is not their issue, but they would match...

I usually give positive reviews and the hotel the benefit of a doubt when there are issues but in this case I do not felt like we were dealt with in good faith. My wife and I almost always prefer to stay at hotels in the historic center of a city or town. You give-up some amenities like space but...

Great little hotel situated smack in the middle of the Town and handy for the main square. Service was excellent and a secure parking for motorcycles was EURO 5 per night just across the square. We had a key so we could come and go as we pleased. room is good size, clean with bathroom (we had a bath with...

Leo is really a nice hotel, good size rooms and bathrooms. No elevator, winding steps, but hey this is Europe. Had a nice breakfast. The only problem I had was the front desk, I realize the desk was not suppose to be manned 24/7, but I never saw anybody. When I went to check in I called through the intercom...

Fantastic location - bang on the main square. Room was huge, bed was excellent, large bathroom, great TV (with loads of channels), Wi-Fi worked very well. Breakfast was lovely. Staff very friendly and helpful. You can park in the main square car park for free providing you arrive early evening and go by 10am too.

So this is another case where the absence of a "good" rating on TripAdvisor is a bit of a problem. Rating the Leo at home as "very good" might imply that it's a bit special; ranking it as "average" seems a bit harsh. There is nothing wrong with this hotel; at the same time, there is nothing to make it...

My husband and I spent 3 nights at the Hotel Leo while touring the nearby areas of the Battle of the Bulge. The village of Bastogne is very small and the Hotel is as well. The staff is all very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are great for spending a comfortable night. The breakfast was fantastic! Fresh baguettes, croissants, fruit,...
