Great location but definitely not Marriott quality at reception. Entrance was locked and we had to wait in the morning cold for a good 10 mins before we were able to get in only because another hotel guest was going out. There was no response from the hotel even tho we must have pressed the buzzer about 10 times. We were early but the guy at the reception did not even look up my reservation and even tho I am an elite Platinum, just took my bags and asked me to come back in 4 hours at 3pm. No offer to let me know when room would be ready or to offer me any other complimentary services. The rest of the staff especially in the restaurant Midtown Bar and Grill are excellent. The concierge Jose is very helpful. The location is great of course. Short walk to the main square, Brussels Central and a lot of the sights to see. Rooms were ok - had a courtyard room but we didnt care as we didnt spend a lot of time in the room.

The entry door of the hotel doesn’t work . The staff at the reception are rude and they do not know even how to treat a lifetime elite member of Marriott. Though the property is in the centre of City but your mood may get spoiled by rude behaviour of the front desk staff. It is highly recommended to not to use this property. Believe me I am a big fan of Marriott as I have stayed over 700 nights in different Marriott associated hotels. But here my feeling is not good . Though Ms.Rute the manger upgraded me to a suite but that doesn’t mean that I like the behaviour of the staff . Marriott must teach the staff of this hotel to behave kindly with people because I saw the girl at front desk was treating even the old inappropriately. They have very few rooms with front or good side windows , most of the rooms face ugly courtyard and dead walls of other buildings. Even They don’t have separate check in for elite members.you need to stand in cold outside waiting just to enter in until someone opens the entry door of the hotel.( if you still have to check in )

Checked in here after difficulty finding the hotel all doors to reception locked and bolted had to ring the buzzer 4 times before any response. Reception tired and dingy and one scruffy looking guy in reception No welcome nothing and I am a lifetime platinum ambassor member of Bonvoy All he was interested in was getting my credit card details. Asked for help with 2 heavy bags I am 75 yrs old reply was we don’t have anyone sorry !!!! Eventually someone appeared and got the bags. It took over 30mins to find the car park went back to reception to ask if someone could come with me to show me just got too busy sorry and map of how to get there !!!! The whole place is dingy and a total dump Marriott should close it down and re staff it. After a 700 kilometre drive this was all I needed !!!! I am supposed to get upgraded to the best available room in the house this took another argument and 10 minutes of my day to get what I am entitled to. They assigned me a regular room and I told the guy I am entitled to a suite, havnt got any was his response. I then showed him on my phone app all the suites that WERE available for my stay !!! I got one.00 Keep away from this terrible place I am a road warrior of over 45 yrs and I no what I am talking about. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

I stayed one night in the Marriott Grand place hotel, it’s location is amazing and the staff are friendly. While having my breakfast I got my best chocola chaud and thanks for Aileen! She’s so cheerful, caring and made her best to make me feel like a welcomed VIP guest! This is the level hospitality that we miss with staff nowadays. Thank you Aileen for being the amazing you and for the hot chocolate 🍫 🔥 made with love!

Service was great from the front desk. The property is older but generally well kept. I used suite award and the corner suite has great views of the Grand Place. it's right outside the Beurs Tram Station if you are coming in via public transportation. Surprisingly the sound insulation was great and I didn't hear the noise from outside. The 2 things that I would think deserves attention to are slow draining of shower water and fluctuating shower water temperatures. We like the breakfast in the Midtown Bar and Grill and the property is steps away from several restaurants. Great location. Executive Lounge was closed due to COVID so we had to buy our own water buy market was also less than 5 minutes walk
