Traveled into Rotterdam by rail, needed somewhere central as reason for being in town was the city's marathon. The Bilderberg was a short walk from the railway station, and from a broad range of cafes, bars and restaurant. My single room was practical rather than luxurious, but then that's in keeping with all things Dutch: it was efficient, and not...

We haven't been to the Bilderberg for several years and in that time it has undergone a wonderful renovation. Our room was very quiet, quite spacious with a comfortable bed, excellent wi-fi signal, large television with a large selection of channels, and a very attractive/functional bathroom. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. The buffet breakfast was delicious and presented...

Nice clean hotel in Rotterdam. Big room with a nice view and comfy bed. Walking distance to museums and the port. We didn't find a great deal to do in Rotterdam for the day but the city and architecture are stunning.

Visited this excellent hotel very recently. Within a ten minute walk from all the main attractions. We had a room on the sixth floor in one of the towers. Beautifully insulated we heard no noise whatsoever. The floor to ceiling windows offered a magnificent view over the city. A well furnished room with an excellent and recently renovated bathroom which...

Lovely Hotel but Evening Meal Menu lets it down as The food is very expensive for so small portions, no vegetables or salad. My husband says the food portions were rubbish as he is used to a fuller meal, Neither of us rate Al Carte Menus as it means expensive food in fact I could put a better menu together.

Modern, classy with friendly, helpful staff. Room beautifully kept. Good sized TV. Bathroom with bath and shower. Dressing gowns and slippers a nice touch. Excellent breakfast. Good situation with many lively bars and restaurants across road from hotel. Pedestrianised shopping 10 minutes walk away. Hotel bar a bit pricey but very impressed with this hotel overall.

Everyone is very friendly and a very good room. I was congratulated with my birthday and they gave me a nice card and a bottle of wine free of charge. This hotel you can select when visiting Rotterdam. No worries!

I had a very small room that was quite a walk from the front desk up and down stairs. The numbering system in the hotel seems a bit confusing. Breakfast was good. The hotel is within walking distance from a variety of restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable.

Extremely comfortable beds with an excessive unnecessary number of cushions/pillows. Breakfast was good. Dinner menu was extremely unappetizing and expensive so we chose to eat outside at nearby restaurants that were recommended by the hotel staff. It mostly involved trendy ingredients. Only one member of our 38 person party said that they had enjoyed the restaurant food. Staff were helpful...

Single rooms very small and no tea/coffee making facilities which were available in double rooms. Hotel was very clean and pleasant, staff were all very helpful and friendly. I ate in the hotel restaurant one evening quite expensive but only to be expected as it has 2 Michelin stars and was most enjoyable. Plenty of restaurants in a 5 minute...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Parkhotel originally dates back to 1922 and has been offering outstanding service and hospitality in the port city of Rotterdam for more than 90 years. The entire ground floor of the Parkhotel was renovated in 2014. The original DNA and unique Parkhotel atmosphere have been retained and combined with contemporary design. The 189 comfortable rooms have every convenience you would expect of a four-star hotel. Several of the rooms have a balcony with a view of the wonderful city garden. The Deluxe and Executive tower rooms, at a higher level, offer a wonderful view of Rotterdam. The hotel has 50 secure parking spaces, a sauna and fitness facilities. The Park restaurant offers contemporary design, a cosy aperitif bar, Cigar Lounge, Private Dining and a wonderful veranda which opens onto the city garden and the terrace. The menu features signature dishes by Erik van Loo, among other specialities. The chef patron of the restaurant Parkheuvel, which has been awarded two Michelin stars, is the supervising chef of The Park. Together with the head chef Richard de Vries, he creates outstanding dishes which are characterised by their quality and simplicity, combined with a playful twist. In 2014, The Park won the Rotterdam Gouden Pollepel award. The Algemeen Dagblad newspaper gave The Park the following review: 'A restaurant which scores highly in every detail and means that Rotterdam can now join the ranks of other global cities where locals are used to eating in a high-calibre hotel restaurant.' ... more   less

“5114 was great. Go up! Take a map of this strikingly modern city and enjoy a good session of aerial tourism in the intimacy of your room while sipping a complementary cup of instant, oh so Duch DE coffee! If window glasses would be cleaned from the outside we would add a sixth star. ”
