Quiet room an an excellent breakfast. The house is situatet in front of a park. Own parking. Only 10 minutes to go to the Centraal Station of Leiden. Best place to discover the City of Leiden by feet. The owners give you very good informations of possibillities to visit Leiden, Amsterdam or Delft.

I stayed in this room for two days. It is comfortably large (main room, bathroom, shared kitchen), with enough space to relax or work on a laptop. The surroundings are quiet with a park close by. It is also close to train station (about 10-15 minute walk). The breakfast (earliest 7:30) was good and plentiful. I would return to this...

I stayed at the Het Vogelhuis (meaning Bird house) during November 20-25, 2016. I had contacted Jan- the host of the Vogelhuis through email directly, and arranged for the stay. We had two rooms downstairs- one for myself, and another for a colleague of mine. We were in Leiden for work at the NeCEN facility. The Vogelhuis is convenient walking...

Everything was excellent in Het Vogelhuis ! We stayed in the only bedroom that was in the house, on the second floor. That room was very large, very comfortable, very clean and very quiet, with a view on a park. The bathroom offered the same comfort. The breakfast was copious and delicious, and it was brought up to us by...

We had read the reviews though, to be honest, our main reason for choosing Het Vogelhuis was the fact that we were three couples meeting in Leiden for a weekend get-together and this B&B had three bedrooms and kitchen facilities. What a gem! The rooms are spacious and spotless. The bed was very comfortable - we got a great night's...

Amazing food, very clean, nice neighborhood with a lot of cute and friendly kitties! Peaceful and calm you almost get lost in it :D. I would definitely come back here again and take maybe even more days to enjoy the amazing hospitality from both the people and kitties!

In front of a park, it is at about 15' from the main train station. Clean, quiet, it offers a reasonably good breakfast. Like many houses in The Netherlands, the stairs to reach the rooms are narrow and steep and they may be difficult to climb for someone who is not fit or physically handicapped.

We spent two nights at Het Vogelhuis. The room was well furnished and quiet. The bed was excellent. The house is close to the main station and city center. The breakfast was remarkable, with fresh fruits and many sorts of bread. If you are vegetarian, just tell Jan the host and he takes care that you get the right diet....

The B&B is easy walking distance from the main train station. It was clean, quiet and comfortable, but what really made the stay special was the attention given by the proprietors. They were very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were wonderful. It is a bit of a walk to central Leiden, but there is nearby bus service.
