Not a great deal of choices in the heart of Salmo. We were drawn to the Reno because it appeared quaint on the outside. Definitely lots of wear and tear visible in the rooms, but they were clean. The beds are old, sagging (at least in our suite) and no air con (except for a small rickety ceiling fan in...

We stayed here for 4 nights while visiting our son and his family. Allergy issues prevent us from staying with our son so he suggested the Reno. Nice thing is it is right next door to our son's place. We checked in with Suzie and she was more than friendly and helpful even offered us help from 2 teenage boys...

The Reno is NOT a 5 star hotel, but having said that doesn't mean it's a bad place. In fact it's the only hotel I will stay in Salmo!!!!Large rooms, with kitchenette, and seperate bedroom area. Yes it's getting a bit old,and there's minor flaws but are you really here to complain about the scuff on the walls or that the TV isn't...

I don't understand some of the reviews I have read about this little gem in Salmo. Yes it is not a FIVE STAR motel but guess what there are no five star motel or hotels anywhere in this area. The owners and the new management have worked very hard to make this a very pleasant place to stay at. The...

We stayed in Room 6 as we were in Salmo for a family funeral. We travel quite a bit and have stayed in quite a few low end rooms similar to this one. We have learned to expect a certain quality of room depending on the price. We felt this room was over priced at $79 (we only paid $69...

This day and age wifi should be throughout all hotels. Apparently the signal is stronger closer to the office. Room is clean and cozy. Bathroom is tiny. Proximity to town centre is good. I would stay here again if i knew i could get stronger internet. Friendly staff.

We stayed there in August on our way to Nelson. had it chosen because of reviews and price which is not that cheap BTW. While staff Alex was very friendly and helpful but there's only this much he can do. Wi-Fi is extremely slow. Motel is pretty much on major route and it gets noisy early in the morning. room...

Service was really friendly and motel manager was always available and friendly. Rooms were very clean, with kitchenettes... Great for overnight traveling. BBQ is small, but good for two steaks. Grounds are very well kept, with lots of patio tables around to relax. WiFi was almost non existent though... They need to boost it.. If you needed it.. you had...

Due to the Kootenay Pass being closed unexpectedly due to a snowstorm, I decided to stay in Salmo instead of going those extra km's back into Nelson. Glad I did. Alex was indeed a gem; the room was clean and the bed comfy. I enjoyed the mini-clawfoot tub. I wandered down the street for a couple pints at the Salmo...

Last week, we spent two pleasant nights at the Reno Motel in Salmo, B.C. We chose the spot because we had found it quite nice on a visit last year. Although under new ownership, we found the same hospitality, comfort and good prices of our previous visit. Alex, the new host, is a gem. He got us situated easily, provided...
