If you'd consider that this isn't a cheap hotel for the area, the room was small (but very clean), the breakfast was somewhat limited and the atmosphere was a bit old fashioned. Nevertheless I slept well on their comfortable beds in the quiet room.

Hotel de Magneet was our first stop after an overnight trip from the US. We had requested an early check in and we were delighted to find a room ready and waiting for us. Rob, the owner, greeted us warmly, helped us park the car, took care of our luggage, and helped us settle in. He is a great source... More

Cozy little hotel on the border of the old town. Privat parking was few steps from door, good breakfast, clean rooms and friendly personal. Hotel located just for ten minutes walk from harbor, market square and other places of interests. In reception was little pub. My room located in other building, few steps from reception but it was better because... More

An easy walk from the station, in a quiet neighbourhood, this was the perfect choice of place to stay with our ten year old. Well located a short walk from the harbour, with plenty of eating places nearby. Breakfast spread is excellent. Rob is a mine of information about the history of Hoorn. If we ever return to Hoorn we... More

Not easy to find, best to approach from the east along Willemsweg. Convenient car parking area just across the street from the hotel (down a side street). A lot of steps to reach the bedrooms (but some are accessible at street level around the corner in Vollerswaal). Rooms are large and reasonably clean and the staff are very friendly. The... More

This was our 3rd stay here, the last one perhaps 10 years ago. They exceeded our expectations in every way. Our room was on the 1st floor of the annex with 2 huge windows looking out on the canal. The small side street can be a bit noisy, but it did not bother us at all-- very quiet at night.... More

We stayed here as a family of four for one night on a recent motoring holiday in the Netherlands. The room we had was around the side of the hotel in an annexe (so we could not get wi-fi access in the room). Although the room was quite small it was adequate and was very comfortable. We had a very... More

My wife and I were flying in and out of Amsterdam on a trip, so we decided to spend a few days in Holland. We selected Hoorn as a central town from which we could do day trips to see that area of the country. When researching hotels, I selected the Hotel de Magneet from several offered on the internet... We stayed 2 nights at the hotel. We would highly recommend this hotel. Family run hotel - Rob was so patient, kind & very helpful. Loved Hoorn - charming walkable city. Would have liked to stay longer in the area & at De Magneet. Included breakfast which was a wonderful selection of Dutch items, with lovely presentation.
