Near the old historic big church. There's an old elevator. Quiet noisy outside. Wifi was working good. Breakfast not enough choices. It is about 10-minute walk to and from the Haarlem Station where you can also ride the bus to and from Keukenhof. Clean room.

Though in a central position if there is a funfair in the town square they need to tell you, the rooms are basic with a small shower room and you can't use the lift after21.00 and as we were on the 3 floor it was a long climb, though break breakfast was run of the mill they did not offer...

Stayed only one night but would again. The hotel I right on the square, so some noise but they supply earplugs. Very friendly staff and for those of you who always complain about absence of lift or elevator to our American friends, this hotel has one though small and very old. Slingle room was small but own bathroom and very...

This is a Rick Steves recommendation. We had stayed at the hotel in 2003 when we went on the 21 days Best of Europe. We are now 12 yrs older, but not wiser. We did a reality check and decided to change. The elevator is only usable when the bar is open. My husband now uses a rollator for back...

Super location, comfortable room although on the basic side and decor somewhat tired. All made up for by the extreme friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. They even had a member of staff waiting nearby to meet us at 11 pm (approx our stated time of arrival) to make sure we could actually get into the hotel and find our...

This hotel is all about location, location and once again location. Situated at the heart of lovely city Haarlem - Grote Markt. 2 min from the Bus stop from the airport and 10 minutes from main city train and bus station. Unfortunatly hotel needs some rebuilding. I would highly recommend that they change matreses as soon as possible. After 3...

We booked online. The receptionist couldn't find our reservation so she called the owner. He was in all honesty the rudest most horrible person I've ever met. The reservation was there. I had my email confirmation. There was dispute as to wether we paid or not so I wanted to check my bank statement. Which is fair enough. However he...

The hotel has seen better days, and busy Grote Markt makes for a poor night's sleep in a place that overlooks it. The rooms and common areas of the Amadeus are dingy. The rooms are small, with narrow beds and linens that are old and thin. The towels are old and thin. It's hard to get the temperature set on...

This is a perfectly located small hotel in Grote Markt Square. The rooms are on the small side, and the bathrooms are rudimentary but clean. Breakfast is included and the owner, Mike, is cheerful and helpful. If you're looking for budget minded accommodations in Haarlem. The square is crowded with shops restaurants and evening revelry. This noise can come up...

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Amadeus for a single night. We stayed there since it was close to the airport, a favorable 2013 Rick Steve's review and a recommendation to visit the town from an acquaintance. Our advice is to stay in Amsterdam, pay a little more and enjoy a more pleasant city. Found the hotel to...
