No isolation of windows and also hearing neighbours next and upstairs. All windows closed (Tripple Check !!!!! ) and I can hear every street conversation. SO imagine bus and motorcycle.................. Never again in this place.

This hotel is in a great location. The train and bus station is right across the road but you do not hear them in your hotel room. Lovely rooms, Not very spacious but very adequate and actually very European. The staff is great, very helpful, kind and courteous, the breakfast buffet is fantastic. While its the same each morning, there...

Stayed here for 5 nights and planned to visit Amsterdam daily - however we loved Haarlem so much that we spent the majority of our time there . It is a lovely small city , almost like a mini-Amsterdam , with beautiful shops, restaurants and lots to do. The Hotel was in a perfect location - close to station, but...

This was our first time in Haarlem and was surprised how loverly it is. The hotel is right by the bus and train station so it is very convenient for the hotel. We took the number 300 bus from the airport which took about 40 minutes and cost€5 . When we arrived at the hotel we were told that we...

Stayed two nights in Haarlem and found the hotel a good choice. Our room was not particularly pretty but everything was in good working order and clean (very fluffy towels). Nice cafe/bar, where breakfast was served. Breakfast was good, team at restaurant and reception were friendly and helpful. Location is really good for traveling into Amsterdam or visiting Haarlem.

We just spent 8 nights at Hotel Lion D'Or and had a wonderful time. The room was a nice size, very clean and so close to everything in Haarlem. The reception staff was so friendly and accommodating. Excellent breakfast every morning too. It was noisy some nights but that was due to pedestrians/cyclists outside of the hotel.

Stayed for the second night of our bike tour from Amsterdam. Storage for cycles is just across the road in an underground cycle park, like nothing I have ever seen in England. A fabulous idea. Not really central but not a long walk in. Hotel is fairly quiet and close to the railway station. Had a good nights sleep here....

This hotel is in the same square as the rail and bus stations, but very quiet and comfortable.Good for travelling to other parts of the Netherlands. Only 5 mins walk from Grote Markt and there are lots of good local restaurants at a variety of prices. Great breakfast - no full restaurant service in the evenings but their 'light snacks'...

Perfect location in Haarlem. Within short walking distance to the train. The rooms are quiet. There was some construction going on when we were there, but it did not impact us at all. We also had some drinks and snacks in the cafe associated with the hotel. It

Great location, just across from the bus & train stations, yet very quiet. Very helpful and pleasant staff, especially all those on reception.Good selection for breakfast, spacious rooms, comfy beds and very quiet, good soundproofing, plus windows that can be opened. About 7 minutes walk to the Grote Market, Plenty of cafe and restaurants nearby. Haarlem is a pleasant town...
