My wife and I stayed at the Malts Hotel last November. We enjoyed our stay, so when the possibility of a family gathering in the Netherlands arose we had no hesitation in suggesting that we stay at this hotel. In the event my wife and I, our older son and my sister stayed for three nights and our younger son...

We stayed 4 nights and could not have been happier. Owners Henk and Anne Marie live off the premises but when our late arrival caused us to be unable to get into our room, they came within 10 minutes to open the door to our lovely accommodation and to give us a warm welcome. Our room was immaculate and comfortable...

We returned to the Malts for a three night stay, our third stay in three years and were not disappointed. Henk and Anne Marie extended their usual warm welcome and we felt like we were visiting old friends. This year we were part of a party of six and we were all delighted with the hospitality we enjoyed. The rooms...

Wonderful welcome. Beautifully refurbished rooms. Clean, comfortable. Fresh juice and plentiful breakfast. Easy walk from train station. Brilliant location to visit bulb fields. VERY helpful hosts. Score 99.9%. Lose 0.1% for anyone who can't manage steep stairs.

We spent three nights at the Malts Hotel with wonderful hosts Henk and Annemarie. This is a really nice B&B/hotel - the friendliness and attention of a B&B with the privacy of a hotel. Henk and Annemarie are excellent hosts who spent a lot of time giving us information about what to do in Haarlem and about the city itself....

Lets get this out of the way: the stairs are steep but they move the luggage for you so not a problem. The owners, Henk & Annemarie, are the perfect hosts and try very hard to make your stay perfect. The room was very comfortable, clean, centrally located and well maintained. To give an example of the service they provide:...

This was our second visit in Hotel Malts; we stayed for 4 nights in March 2016 and enjoyed every moment. Henk and Annemarie have an ability to create a cosy ambiance, a feeling that you are a very welcomed and important person. In the breakfast room cosiness and hospitality mean e.g. very good coffee, fresh orange juice, and flowers in...

Stayed for two nights with family members. Late check in on a Sunday night went smoothly, loved the honesty bar so a hot or cold drink was available. The breakfast is lovely, served with freshly squeezed orange juice and some tips on the town from the owners. Overall, great value, clean, quiet, warm and friendly. Highly recommend

The title says it all. Haarlem is beautiful town with much to see, and this B&B made it a great overnight getaway for my family. Probably also good base for sightseeing in Amsterdam given the proximity. Highly recommended and looking forward to returning. Only potential negative is the stairs: there are lots of them, and they are steep. We had...

My husband and I stayed here in November, 2015 for our wedding anniversary. The manager/owner speaks several languages and was able to joyfully accommodate everyone I saw there. He made us feel welcome right away and answered all our questions, offering guidance for transportation. His wife made fabulous yogurt parfaits for breakfast. The breakfast offerings were vast! Whilst there, we...
