The location is great (pedestrian zone in Haarlem). 40 mins from AMS airport to front door. Take the 300 line from B4-B6 outside the airport. Costs 5 Euros. The stop for Malts is Verwulft. Catalina & Henk are hospitable, the breakfast is plenty and good. A day's worth of sights and shopping in the area. Thrill Grill has great hamburgers...

Our four-night stay here was honestly the highlight of our first trip to the Netherlands. I can't say enough glowing things about Henk and Annemarie and their lovely hotel. When we arrived, Henk grabbed our luggage and then promptly swept us upstairs into the dining room for coffee, tea and a thorough overview of Haarlem. That warm welcome set the...

Four of us stayed at the Malts Hotel for three nights in October 2016. This little bed & breakfast-style hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of picturesque Haarlem. After negotiating steep stairs to the first floor (host Henk helped with bags), we were shown a cozy breakfast room then directed to our rooms on the first and second floor....

The hotel occupies the first and second floors, accessed by typical Dutch stairs. It is in a very good location, a few steps from the centre of Haarlem and about 12 minutes walk from the Centraal Station, with frequent trains to Amsterdam. The rooms are very quiet and comfortable with well-designed up-to-date wet rooms. The breakfast is excellent. Owners Henk...

I had more bad surprises than positive ones when I arrived to this hotel for my professional trip. First, when I opened the door at night with the "secret key" (as there is no reception in the evening past 5pm) I was shocked to see this huge vertical stairs with no lift, talk about something you would not expect with...

Bonjour monsieur ‘een tripadvisor-lid’! Thank you for your compliment. We are sorry to hear you did not have the experience you were hoping for. We are also sorry you did not read about our typical Dutch stairs on our website or in the reviews of other guests and that you were unpleasantly surprised. We are very willing to help anyone...

Henk and AnneMarie have a charming bed and breakfast in a great location in the city center of Haarlem. It was a treat to be greeted in the mornings with coffee and a lovely breakfast, and it is beautifully renovated and up to date. I hope to get back before long!

We had a wonderful stay at Malts Hotel. Henk and Annemarie were great hosts. They gave great advice with maps of Haarlem. They are only about a 10-15 minute walk from the train station. Breakfasts were delicious. Our room was spotless and had a very modern bathroom. We would not hesitate to return and would definitely recommend this B&B to...

Great hotel, in a good location. This was our first visit to Haarlem but it won't be the last. We would stay at this hotel again, the rooms are modern and comfortable, delicious breakfast and the owners Henk and Annemarie are the perfect hosts.

Stayed here to visit Amsterdam and surrounding area - Haarlem is an absolutely beautiful little town away from the noise of Amsterdam. Very easy commutes by bus and train. Owners couldn't be more helpful! Room was clean, comfortable, and modern. Breakfasts were great. Will definitely be back. One of the best stays we have ever had.

We stayed here for two nights and were really impressed by this hotel and hospitality of the hosts. Our room had excellent beds and very modern, nicely appointed bathroom. Breakfast was served every morning in a bright breakfast room. Complimentary fruit was available all day and there was also a beverage fridge in the breakfast room, that operated on the...
