This is a really nice place to stay. We thought that it was comfortable, clean, and convenient. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and courteous. Walking, biking, and taking the rail are all options. The breakfast is very good. All in all we really enjoyed the stay, and would rate it between "very good" and "excellent." Thanks!

We stayed here for 7 nights while in Amsterdam. The staff were very friendly, professional and extremely helpful. The room was nicely designed and had an really comfortable bed, the shower did lack pressure, but it was still alright. I will definitely check back in at this hotel when I go back to Amsterdam for another visit.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at Hotel V! We are happy to hear that you had a nice stay! We do wonder about the water pressure though! If you get a chance, please send us an email at stay@hotelv.nl to let us know which room you were in. We'd love to take a look at...

We are seasoned independent travellers in our early fifties, and the hotel exceeded our expectations for a 5 night stay. All the hotel staff, reception and breakfast/bar area were very friendly and helpful and engaging. The hotel is directly opposite a trambus stop, which made for very convenient access. Our room was on 2nd floor next to lift, but very...

Lovely hotel v modern and really good location for walking or taking tram to major attractions. Breakfast v good, usual continental style, lots of cheese, ham, cereals, bread, croissants etc. Staff v attentive and helpful. Only minor downside is rooms are small and bathroom v dark but on a weekend break we weren't in Amsterdam to sit in our hotel...

This hotel could be quite alright if it would cost less than half of the actual price. But for 160,- euro/night for a double room it is pure insolence. Very small double room: a bed and space for just two trolleys. The only "design" in this so-called "design hotel" was a sticker on the wall which began to fall off....

Wow, it really sounds like this garbage bin and bike issues ruined your stay, and we are really sorry to hear that! You're right, it should have been dealt with better than that. If you find it in your heart to return, please send us a message at stay@hotelv.nl, and we promise to make your next stay better than your...

We stayed two nights at Hotel V - the location as other posters mentioned is good, within walking distance anywhere you'd like to go. The room we had on the 2nd floor was spacious, modern and clean. Comfortable beds and pillows. We arrived early and the staff was kind enough to offer us to have breakfast until the room was...

My fiance and I had the opportunity to stay at Hotel V during our trek through Europe. I cannot say enough about our experience. The hotel itself is in immaculate condition, newly renovated with an inviting lobby, bar and sitting area for drinks and continental breakfast in the morning. The staff were exceptional and made us feel very comfortable from...

We stayed four nights at Hotel V. The location is very good.Very nice staff, they could not do more to make our stay to be perfect. Breakfast was really good and also free wifi. Also I have to say the only thing was the size of the room. It was really small. Anyhow I would stay there again!

Found this hotel by chance and decided the photos and review made it most desirable for a May break. Let me start with the positives. The location is quiet, which i wanted yet close to the main attractions and good restaurants. The staff are without doubt the greatest asset. They were so kind, always cheerful and eager to please. Similarly,...

"It was so dark and dingy and whoever authorised the choice of colours - dark grey and almost black, needs to go to design school!" I showed that to the owner who designed the rooms, and she could only laugh. Thank you for your very honest(-but-brutal) review! However, this is all relative, and we still love the design! Booked this hotel for 2 nights on the back of a recommendation by The Times and was quite disappointed. The comments by other guests about the staff and breakfast are correct - but you can pick up a decent breakfast (and better coffee) for a reasonable price pretty much anywhere in Amsterdam (outside the tourist traps), and based on my...
