Its average all round really, pillows r awefull, noise from street is annoying, generally clean, bathroom is ok and water was good pressure and heat. Bed was alright not the best, bit squeaky & short IOW toes hanging over the edge! Staff i found friendly so no issue there! Bring your full lung capacity and a small luggage bag if...

The room itself (10 bed female dorm) was fine, one shared bathroom, great view, spacious and comfortable. However, the guy on reception was horrible. He charged one of our party £15 more than the rest of us and later when we checked out on the 8th of August he demanded we all pay an extra £15 each. When we refused,...

The facilities in Aivengo were the worst out of all the hostels I stayed in on my holiday. There are only two showers downstairs, and from what I could see, these showers were for 40 people to use. There was a 'kitchen' right next to the toilets which consisted of only a refrigerator and a microwave. There were some small...

The private double is absolutely the nicest room - hotel or hostel- I have stayed in in Europe. So cool! Other than check in/check out I had 0 interaction with staff. Location is unbeatable. Seriously, if you are traveling with your significant other/ a friend you don't mid sharing a bed with, get the private double!

I stayed here for 4 nights in early June and was thoroughly impressed. The rooms were clean and the view from our room was beautiful. The location is great. The hostel is situated right next to the main station and you can walk to most places or hire a bike. There are plenty of rental bike services on the street...

I stayed in the 20 dorm room and had hesitations- but it was actually a lot better than I expected - especially for the price! There's 2 x 20 dorm rooms, and I'm pretty sure there are smaller dorms and female only dorms upstairs. The staff are really nice and I've met a lot of cool people here in the...

I stayed in the 20 bed mixed dorm and it ended up being better than I expected. Pretty clean and comfortable. There is a bit of a shortage of showers for 20 ppl. Location is pretty good there is stuff to do/eat all over the place. Overall not a bad place to stay, especially due to the cheap prices they...

I stayed at Aivengo Hostel for a total of 6 nights with 2 of my friends. We stayed in the 20 bed mixed dorm room which ended up being way better than we thought. The location is prime with lots of great cafes, bars, shops etc nearby. The staff were super friendly and even let us stay for an extra...

We recently stayed for a couple nights at Aivengo and very much enjoyed it. Although we were in the 20-bed dorm room, sleep was no problem for us. The location is perfect as it's only a few minutes to walk from the central station. The staff was incredibly helpful and flexible, and the people in our room were awesome to...

One of my favorite hostels in my entire trip through Europe! Up a spiraling staircase which is a bit of a hike, but well worth it when you get to the room! A loft with opening window doors and a charming folding table and chairs. Spacious room, and no bunk beds! Comfy blankets, outlets everywhere, cozy kitchen (no working stove...

Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. “If you're staying In the 20 dorm room closer to the street side, try and get a bottom bunk in the corner. It gets pretty light in the room early morning, and it can get a bit noisy from the street.”
