This is a great hotel, the location is perfect, close to great restraints and bars. Friendly and professional staff, clean rooms and nice breakfast in the morning. Rooms were decent size and very clean.

The hotel is very well located in a nice neighborhood just beside the museum plaza. The bedroom is quite comfortable and shows a good relation cost x benefit. Wonderful city to explore walking and the hotel location really favors that.

Location very good but make sure you pay before arrival or they charge you when you leave and never release the deposit or holding fee I am still waiting for my money back which so far I haven't seen a penny of.

Great location, the tram stop only around the corner. It is only 10 to 15 minutes to central station by tram. It is only a 5 minute walk to Leidseplein Square. The hotel was nice and quiet and clean. The staff very helpful and friendly. I will be back again.

This hotel was in an excellent location! Our room was comfy and the staff were helpful. The shower in our room was an open shower (wet room), which was a little strange but we managed. Breakfast was not included in our room price and was 12.50 euro a person which was very expensive for what food they offered (breads, cereals,...

The location was excellent for visiting the main museums and city centre. The room was a disappointment - very small and cramped, no armchair made relaxation impossible, a mattress that smelled. Otherwise it was clean and the breakfast was good. Staff were pleasant. We had no view and did not enjoy time spent in the room. Overall it was just...

This hotel is in a great location. It is about 20 minutes by taxi from the airport. As it's name suggests it is very close to some of the main museums in Amsterdam. On arrival the receptionist was welcoming and took the time to explain things. We also received tour information. Our room was a ground floor twin. Large bay...

Upon arriving, me and my boyfriend were very impressed with the exterior of the hotel; it looked quite grand as opposed to hotels in the centre and it was in a lovely area. However, we were still near a main road where we occasionally heard very loud sirens during the night. The bathroom was also rather fancy, although the way...

Wonderful hotel, great staff, accommodation very nice indeed. We had Room 701 with 2 double rooms. Very spacious and comfortable, with TV in each room. Lovely bathroom, kettle and tea/coffee etc. Room was really warm. Great location from airport, take bus 197 (5 euros) and short walk for bus stop at Rijksmuseum. Close to Hard Rock Café, Vondel Park, canal...

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
