Extremely small room, couldn't open my suitcase in the room!! Didn't get a towel 2 days in a row, dirty room, never cleaned while I was there. Bathroom/toilet so small I hit my head on the wall trying to sit down. Shower and sink in another room with to big step down to the floor.

Me & My Partner stayed here in November 2016, the hotel is small, but that's what we love about it. It suits the quiet street it's on too. The hotel was very clean, authentic and well, very Amsterdam. You check in via the restaurant, which was strange but only added to our experience. The staff were really helpful, the toilet...

Reasons for my rating: There is no reception area in this ho(s)tel. When we arrived, we went into a small cafe and spoke to the people running the cafe, who must be the owners. The woman took us to our room up to the fourth floor. The staircase was very windy but the staircase from the third to the fourth...

Clean and well cared for, this hotel offers small yet adequate rooms. The bathroom was new with quality fittings and a good shower. The bed was extremely comfortable and the linen spotlessly clean. During the festival, buskers were singing outside the window. The location is excellent and the staff very kind and accommodating. Not recommended for people with mobility issues...

Great little place, we stayed here for one night. Staff couldn't be more helpful. Clean tidy with plenty of space for us. Food in the restaurant downstairs is great too. Would definitely stay here again.

Very small space - DO NOT RECOMMEND if you aren't good with steep stairs! Otherwise a good little place for a couple of nights on a budget. The staff were super lovely and helpful. Heaps of cafes and restaurants around.

dear guest, thank you very much for your stay and review. I am very sorry about the stairs, but we can not change that, because the hotel is settled in a 17th century building. Glad you appreciated your stay anyhow, and hope to see you back soon in our hotel and restaurant. Best regards, Hotel Teun

We just got back from our 2nd stay in Amsterdam, and I'm so glad we chose Hotel Teun. The staff were brilliant and the hotel itself is just lovely. Quirky with the usual Amsterdam steep stairs and sloped ceilings. We stayed for 2 nights, and our room was very small - but I was expecting that. Manoeuvring around the foot...

The staff was very friendly, the bed was also confortable. The location was really good because its outside tourist crowds. There are also lots of beautiful shops in the street and some good cafes. We even had dinner one night in the hotels restaurant and was very good too. I absolutely recommend this hotel!!!

We stayed in room three this Saturday. On arrival the girls in the restaurant were very helpful and pleasant, they spoke really good English so that was not a problem. There was six of us in our group so whilst we waited for all our rooms to be ready we had some lunch. The food was fantastic and the service...

Me and a few friends went to Amsterdam for kings day. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The location is ideal only a 5 minute walk into town centre. The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. It's slightly small however I think that's the case with all city hotels. Would go back!

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
