A group of us stayed at this "hotel" for two nights, 2-3 per room. Rooms are small, comforters were very dirty, no towels provided until the second night. elevator shuts off around 10PM, stairs are trippy. Showers were not ideal (4/10). Staff not very friendly. Would not recommend staying at this hotel at all, we paid around 100euros each per...

I've stayed here a few times in various rooms and have never had a bad experience. The staff are friendly and the food is nice. The rooms are quirky and great for an overnight stay but not sure i'd want to stay for a longer break as there are probably nicer places to stay.

Where to begin. Well firstly it's situated behind a steakhouse. Great if you like the smell of grease dumpster food wafting through your window. The stairs are dangerous not suitable for anyone really. I'm surprised no one has broken their neck here yet. When we walked into our room we were greeted with a pungent mouldy aroma. Had to keep...

The room was very dirty, very noisy and we had rubbish bags outside our window which was looking out to a roof top ventilation system (noisy) and them bags where alive with big RATS so we didn't sleep very well at all... DON'T DO IT..

It was great value I got a private single ensuite room for €60. It's also in the centre of everything including the train station. And the shower was amazing. The room was clean and warm also well ventilated with a window.

Despite the good location at 300m from Amsterdam centraal, a terrible place which is overpriced. Tiny room, many stairs, very dirty and very noisy. No hairdryer , weak wifi. Would avoid by all means. Never again, still having nightmare vision of it.

I was interrailing in a group of 5 students and I wasn't in charge of finding place so I didn't read the reviews or whatsoever, and I just read through the reviews here and I can't confirm whether they stole our money or not, but I haven't heard from the other guys, so I assume they haven't stolen anything. I...

First thing first. People are nice, no problem about it. The stairs are almost impossible to use with bags, if you have large bags, forget it! The rooms are incredible small. No place to but my belonging because the safe is on it.... I don't get it. The bed was ok, I was lucky not to get bed bugs like...

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
