Stayed two nights and were very pleased. Perfect location and our room was spotless with adequate amenities to make our stay very comfortable. Loved the garden room with patio table and gardens. Perfect spot for little picnic and there are an abundance of restaurants in area both eat in and take out. We also were pleased with breakfast with breads,...

The B&B is in a nice, quiet neighborhood. The rooms are sparse but adequate. The coffee and tea service in the room is a perk. The upstairs rooms are difficult to manage with luggage. The downstairs room has a patio with a very overgrown courtyard and lots of bugs. There are chickens in a next door small playground area. After...

I'm sorry to read that you are 'Not Totally Impressed'. But I am glad to hear at least some positive remarks and that our coffee and teas facilities were much appreciated. Whether you like to hear a distant murmur of chickens is ofcourse very personal but I am mostly responding to this review because of the idea that we do...

A friend and I stayed here in June 2016. Nice sized clean room with good ensuite bathroom and kitchenette immediately next door. A very generous Dutch breakfast included every morning with a bit of variation each day which was a really nice touch. The location is very quiet and very close to the centre of Amsterdam. Very good value and...

This B&B offers an unusual value and comfort for Dutch standards. As a Dutch American guest I know the travel expectations on both sides of the ocean and I must say Charlotte knows how to meet them. Quiet rooms with private bathrooms and a home touch of breakfast served to your room is a rare find. Charlotte leaves her guests...

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in May 2016, in the room in the main photo which is on the ground floor. Loved having no stairs to climb, the beds were comfy and the outdoor garden area with a clothes airer was a bonus. Charlotte was a good hostess with some helpful tips and plentiful breakfasts. The...

The room we had on the ground floor was huge and beautiful! It opened onto a garden complete with a bistro table and chairs. The location in Jordaan is perfect! Quiet and residential but moments from street after street of restaurants. And Westerkerk is very close -- we heard its carillon and bells, so lovely! Charlotte is helpful and provides...

We stayed for 3 nights in B&B Jordaan. The location is perfect if you intend to spend the night in a quiet neighbourhood and if you don't mind to do a short walk to the centre (1km). The room was big and comfortable and the breakfast very complete. The owner Charlotte was very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend to...

We had a great 3 day stay at B&B Jordaan. The room was comfortable and well equiped. Our hostess was friendly, accommodating and graciously helped us with transportation arrangements and dining recommendations, all of which worked out well. Breakfast was plentiful and nutritious (bread, butter, jam, cheese, meat, eggs, juice, coffee and tea). The location was fabulous. Easy to reach...

It was so much fun staying at the B&B Jordaan. It was in a very quiet residential neighbourhood, on a lane with very little motor traffic. From our upstairs window we could see people going to work, taking their children to school, taking the dog out and most always by bicycle - it was wonderful! It was within an easy...

We loved our stay here. The neighborhood was lovely, great stores and restaurants and the market nearby on Monday. The breakfasts varied and were more then enough for us..and we are pretty big eaters. The room was the garden room and plenty big for us. I loved the press coffee pot and had tea each evening. Charlotte was very helpful...

Staying in Jordaan

Neighbourhood Profile
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
