The hotel itself is clean, very small beds though in very small rooms. Basic hotel, can't complain too much, the food is ok nothing special. 10 minute tram ride into Dam Square so a good location. Staff are very friendly and helpful but the only downside... our room was Level -1 next to the lift which we thought would be...

We stayed at the ibis styles for my birthday weekend last week. We were given a room underground -1. We were initially worried about the noise from the pedestrians walking past our room as our window was by the street so you could see their feet. That wasn't the noise issue it was the actual cleaners who woke us up...

Great hotel, room was spotless and staff were very attentive. Not right in the centre so if you like a stroll then it's great, its about a 10 minute walk to Rembrandt sq and a 25 minute walk to Dam Sq. On the same road as Heineken experience which is great too

Convenient place to base yourself for both shops and historic sites. The three ladies serving breakfast are diamonds especially Wanna. I understand it is only a B&B basis at moment. Room 405 could do with additional lighting but hotel is quite, warm and comfortable. Extractor fan not working in bathroom. Very good breakfast as service is first class with food...

We stayed here for one night 18 February 2017 and couldn't fault it. The staff were very helpful and very friendly. The hotel is in a good location about 10 minutes walk into the centre of the city. The breakfast was continental and all you can eat, very tasty, well stocked and fresh. The bedroom was immaculately clean, very comfortable...

Well apart from the bathroom that smeeled like a drain, bathroom taps that were loose, a dirty worn carpet a room that was totoally misrepresnted on the website, a room that was on the main way to reception so that I was woken up every hour and uncooked bacon at breakfast there wasn't much to recommend. Clean sheet and a...

This was a Post 16 school trip that needed to be cost effective. A known hotel chain puts parents at ease and with breakfast included(pretty decent buffet selection), saves a lot of hassle. The students were accommodated well and it avoided the worry of hostel accommodation and the potential problems that could arise. The hotel only has 44 rooms and...

This hotel has an excellent cost-effective. The localization is very good, next to a tram station (Stadhouderskade), a few metres from Albert Cuyp market and Heineken Experience. Also you can walk to Museumplein easily. The staff is very kind and dedicated to make our stay very good. The rooms are cleaning everyday and has nice decoration. I just found a...

Staying in De Pijp

Neighbourhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
