I stayed there for three nights and was amazed at the attention to details and comfort of the guests. The location is the best for visiting the museums and central Amsterdam, the rooms are impeccable clean and comfortable. The view of the canal from my room was a extra pleasure. I ate in the Peacock Alley restaurant and it was delicious and beautifully presented, but I wish the had more choices for dinner. The breakfast was incredible and so was the spa.
I simply have no words to express the experience we had at the Waldorf Astoria in Amsterdam. I have stayed at hundreds of hotels across the globe, and I have never been as touched as I was after this stay. This hotel is simply #1!!! PERIOD! This was a special trip with my daughter, celebrating both of our birthdays, and literally EVERY single staff member made this trip an unforgettable world class experience! During my stay, a fellow frequent traveler reached out to me, and asked me if the hotel lived up to its reputation. My response was that there are simply no words to describe the incredible experiences they create! The hotel itself is absolutely stunning! It is incredibly well appointed, with fresh flowers in each room and throughout the hotel. The location is perfect. But the crown jewel is the staff. Every member of the staff clearly feels a personal responsibility to ensure a perfect experience. And they are clearly empowered to do so, as we received several special deliveries with notes throughout our stay which were so touching. Peter, the concierge is one of a kind! He customized tours and experiences for us, modifying it in real time for the optimal experience. Kesya, from Peacock Alley remembered all of our dietary preferences, and sent up such a wonderful selection of beers. Merrick and Ava, from Peacock Alley, took such great care of us, serving us the perfect drinks that hot the spot. Juan who checked us in, made us feel so at home, with a happy birthday message on the screen at check in, followed by a personal note and treat to our room. Shannon at checkout was so kind and welcoming. And there were so many other individuals that made our trip, yet I didn't get their names. And of course, we must thank Mandy who arranged a quadruple upgrade to the most wonderful canal room! It was PERFECTION!!!! Finally, the culture of any enterprise starts at the top, and clearly the General Manager, Mr. Roberto Payer, created and cultivated this very unique and special environment. During our stay, he sent us several wonderful notes and wonderful amenities. There's a reason why this hotel is #1 in Amsterdam, and one of the very finest hotels globally! We are so sad to leave, but can't wait to return!!…
From the moment we have stepped foot into the property and until our check out, we were in awe of both facilities and quality of services. Our room was a dream and breakfast was ritualistic. Don’t miss this amazing hotel.
We have stayed at the Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam a couple of times now. Our experience has always been met with gracious and high professionalism. The entire staff from start to finish were simply amazing. We loved staying there and the location was perfect too. We will and would stay there again in a heart beat. The room accommodations exceeded our expectations, the restaurants and lobby bar were also exceptional. This is a 5+ star experience.
Our wedding was at the Waldorf this September & it was nothing short of magical. The wedding planner, Mandy was extremely professional & kind. The staff, especially Julien who hosted the dinner were full of life & character! The hotel is an exquisite location, as is its garden. The flower vendor The Ivy made the most beautful flower arrangements, that exceeded our expectations. The food was outstanding and our guests had a fabulous time. Highly recommend the Waldorf, we experienced the happiest day of our lives.
