Spent four nights at Aalborg in the beginning of 2017. The location is good. The area of De Pijp is really nice, and it's easy to reach Aalborg with a tram for example. The Sharpati park is just opposite to the hotel and it's a place quite beautiful. We shared a room with a double bed with my friend. The...

Someone always available 24h / 24 and helpful for anything. Room and bathroom very clean. A great base camp 200 meters from the tram line leading to Rembrandt Square, Dams Square and the Central Station with no changes. Bus to the airport also at night a few steps from the hotel.

A gamer hotel with cartoons, nintendo and a bar in the reception. Stayed here with some friends in may (in bunkbeds). The hotel is just beside a nice park and cafés and supermarkets are nearby. Not so far from the center. Chickens and cats in the backyard gives it a "homy" feeling.

I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel. I fully appreciated the welcoming reception (Pedro!) and the relaxed ambiance. All amenities in the room were available without the unnecessary luxury. Will definitely come back!

Booked here for two nights for our first ever holiday together after seeing pictures of the rooms and thinking it looked nice for the price! Obviously this is a budget hotel, and to be honest we weren't overly bothered about the hotel we stayed in as long as we had a great time in Amsterdam (which we did!!) However, we...

I booked this "hotel" for seven nights but only stayed for two. My single room was just too small. I had to step over my cases to move around in the "room". I could hear the people in the next room laughing and talking into the small hours. The bed was actually painful to lay on. The pillow was so...

I stayed here in October 2016 with my wife and 2 children (12 & 10) We booked the hotel in August and the rooms on the website was nothing at all like we ended up in. The website shows modern clean rooms, we ended up in a low quality room. Not worth what we paid. I queried this twice with...

When we arrived at reception, the woman checked our booking on computer. She told us the amount we had to pay, gave us our room key (scanning card) to hold on to. We were told which room to go to and told to enjoy our stay. Surprisingly, we weren't told about any facilities in the hotel (i.e. breakfast, bar, smoking...

Staying in De Pijp

Neighbourhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
