This hotel is in the museum district. You can walk to the Van Gogh Museum, Rijks museum and MOCO museum within 5 minutes. The hotel is spotlessly clean. Room large with a big bathroom. Everything you need for a city break. The local area is residential so not seedy or dodgy. This was ideal for us two ladies travelling for...

NH Museum Quarter is an excellent hotel in a great location. We were able to check in early which is never guaranteed but much appreciated. The room and bathroom very very nice (great views from 7th floor) and spotless. The breakfast buffet is excellent as well. I noticed the hotel is very handicapped accessible in the Lobby area. NH Museum...

Stayed in a large, comfortable and well furnished double-room with a full sized desk that made it easy to finish some work using my laptop. The full sized bathroom was a treat to use. The excellent breakfast buffet had two hot items available as well as many types of bread, cheese and sliced meats. The coffee, from a machine, was...

The NH Amsterdam Museum Quarter is well-located in the heart of the Museum Quarter, about 20 mins walk from the centre of Amsterdam and 30 mins walk from central train station. Loads of museums less than 10 mins away as well as eateries and bars. Trams run locally and are cheap and easy to use. Room size and amenities are...

Great location for exploring the city, right near the Heineken Experience. A few moments away from a tram stop that is then a 10 minute tram ride to the Central Train Station and some of the nightlife. Check in was quick and staff were helpful. Rooms were dated & a bit scruffy but had all good amenities, mini bar, iron...

I stayed at this hotel in February of last year with my partner (yes, it took me a year to get round to writing a review!) The location of this hotel is excellent, although it's not in the VERY centre of Amsterdam, it is literally a minutes walk away from the city's museums! Our apartment was clean and well equipped...

We just spent 3 comfortable nights at the hotel, the room was simple but very clean and quiet, with everything you could need for a short stay. On our arrival, although we arrived early, we were able to get to our room immediately. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay, we have even received...

This hotel is slightly out of the centre of Amsterdam but still only a 20 walk away. All the staff throughout our stay were genuinely friendly and helpfull. Our room was cleaned everyday and fresh towels left. The WiFi in the rooms is strong and we were able to stream Netflix without buffering. The beakfast had a good selection and...

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
