Stayed here for the Amsterdam marathon. The rooms were small which I didn't mind. But maybe because it's fairly cheap had lots of eastern European young people making a lot of noise. More like a youth hostel than hotel

Great spot and very welcoming also very clean if a little small could not have been better placed for central station and the staff could have been more accommodating. One tiny thing, no tea making facilities in room so had to go from 5th floor to reception for a cuppa at 4am!!

Excellent location and in the center of all the activities a tourist would be looking for. Staff was friendly and helpful..especailly front office staff Kim. Room was small but well fitted and bed comfortable. If you just a place to sleep and conviniently located this is will be a good choice.

Hotel is of a great, central location, but unfortunately though very clean but far too expensive (€220 /night ) considering the level of services offered and the fact that we are off season. Room very small, which is expected based on European common standards, but still basics are missing (mirror in the room, tissues, bins, etc.) . Very helpful personnel...

We booked this hotel for the location. That's the upside ..it's close as in walking distance from the station , dam square and the canals and of course the trams and local buses. Very very central , no doubt. But the rooms are uncomfortably small. We were on the sixth floor and for that you have to change two lifts!!...

The Ibis Styles Amsterdam Central Station is in a great location for access to public transportation in Amsterdam. The Central Station is a short walk away and provides service for trains and the tram system. We were able to take the train to and from the Schiphol Airport and used the tram for trips to various places in Amsterdam. The...

Such a nicely located hotel and I had one of my worst experiences ever, almost ruined my week-end. For a two-day reserve they just forgot to honour the reserve for the first night, eventhough they were warned about my (me and family, with kids) late arrival. Fortunately I carried all the paperwork with me but they could not honour my...

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
