I was going to meet my friend in Amsterdam, but I was arriving at night and they weren't arriving until the next morning so I needed to find a hotel near the Marriott. Hotels are generally expensive in Amsterdam so I was looking for one that was not that expensive but still pretty decent. I decided to try the Ibis...

perfect for city trip with little budget...easy access from Centraal Station to hotel with tram no.4 family room with good bedding, friendly staff ..the only but: due to the steep stairs at the mainentrance and inhouse should be quite difficult to access for handicapped people

The hotel was lovely, we couldn't fault it! The staff were so friendly and accommodating and helped us with all the questions we asked about the city. The room was spotless and spacious the the bathroom and shower were reasonably sized. Good selection at breakfast time. Location a little far out from centre but a tram stop a 1 min...

The hotel is close to the Albert CuypMarket and about a 10 minute walk to the Rijksmuseum. The Tram 4 is almost across the street to get to Centraal Station and the main tourist area. The hotel is built into old houses so the rooms are all different layouts and are small. My bathroom had a small shower but the...

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. The location is good and transportation makes the city very accessible. The room was small and very cold, despite having a thermostat inside. The breakfast was good, but the breakfast room too small to accommodate the guests there. Overall, it was okay, but not something I would recommend to other travelers

Booked a short week away with my friend last month and decided to go with ibis. We arrived around 12 o'clock and were told our room would be another hour to a hour and a half. We did make the hotel aware of our arrival time. We went back after two hours and had to wait a further 30mins. We...

I recently stayed here for business and cannot recommend the place. As far as positives go: the location is great, the breakfast is small but relatively tasty (but avoid the scrambled eggs), the person on reception was friendly and the shower has good pressure. But that's where it ends. I had booked a single room. The room was smalll but...

Muhammed at the reception gave us a great first impression of the city and the hotel, he was super helpful and friendly, he gives you an impression that you do him a favor when you ask him for help or advice :) - comparing to all other ibis hotels, the rooms were very spacious. - Breakfast could have been better,...

Located in city center, close enough to walk to main attractions but quiet for sleep. 2 minutes to Heineken museum, 5 minutes to Museumplein, 20 minutes to Red light district and central station. You don't need any public transport. Nice staff, Good breakfast as usual in Ibisis. Beds are maybe smaller then I expect, as room generally, but the hotel...

Very close to centre just 5' with tram which stop is exactly out of door. In front of the canal. Quiet hotel, nice rooms, comfortable bed, modern decorated, big bathroom. The breakfast was perfect and the staff was very polite and helpful, all time with the smile. It could have been a a little cheaper...

Staying in De Pijp

Neighbourhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
