I visited this hotel during a 2 day visit with my 9 years old sun. We firs wanted book the so called 'Botel' but I'm glas we switched to the much smaller and cosy hotel boat Angeline. It's perfect located on close distance to bike rental, Nemo, Maritime museum, Amsterdam Central station and down town city. Staff is extremely helpful...

The man in charge was very welcoming and friendly. Buffet breakfast opened at 8.30 every morning and was very good and varied slightly each day. The boat was about a 10-minute walk from Central station and the same distance from the centre or Red Light district. The cabin room with en suite was basic although comfortable and had everything we...

The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was great, was slightly different each day. The waffles were very tasty! The hotel wasn't too far from the train station and wasn't far from where we were wanting to visit either. The rooms were cosy and beds were really comfy too! I would definitely recommend here.

This boat hot was lovely. Spacious cabins and nice shower room. The breakfast was plentiful and the coffee flows freely. It was central to everything we wanted to see and do. Would definitely book here again.

First of all, this is a boat hotel which in itself makes for an interesting experience. Pretty close to city center. Quite to Amsterdam centraal, red light district, newmarket (all walkable). Hosts (Daniel and another whose name I did not get) were very personable and hospitable - you could ask them anything and strike a conversation any time. Room was...

We stayed for 2 nights in Hotelboat Angeline. The hotel is just 15' off the central station -you could go everywhere from the station including the airport (20' journey). It is really a boat! But it does not feel like it's floating at all while you are onboard (unlike what I thought before getting there). We felt very warm and...

Me & my wife stayed for two nights on our trip to Amsterdam & enjoyed our stay here. It is a beautiful boat with ample place. Nice seating area outside & inside including dining area. The room was clean & equipped with all needed amenities. It was a tad small but with the price, we found it all good. The...

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.

“Most cabins have two bunks. A couple cabins have three bunks. One cannot really see out of the porthole windows, but you're most likely only sleeping in the cabins. Need to negotiate a steep stairway ladder to get to the cabins.”

“Bear in mind you're getting an experience of staying on a boat so don't expect plush double beds and decorative cushions. We had a little bunk room / cabin complete with port hole - so much fun!”
