We where caught in a demonstration of people who lived in the neighbourhood. Apparently this hotel is going to expand with a lot of rooms. People are not happy.

The room was average, small but clean. Good for a short stay. Slight smell from drains in bathroom, and the acoustics are awful. You can hear your next door neighbour as if they are in the room with you and this is the same for...More

Plantage Apartment Suites offer a better option for small families. Apartment was clean and offered a functional kitchen and beautiful location. Suite was clean and comfortable and bathroom was spacious. Beds were comfortable with new linens and towels. Well maintained and onsite caretaker.
The eastern edge of central Amsterdam provides visitors with the chance to imagine the city that Rembrandt called home (and to tour his historic house) while shopping like the thriftiest of locals at Waterlooplein’s massive flea market, or even enjoying a craft beer beside the tallest wooden windmill in The Netherlands. This verdant, serene, and stately part of town is home to Artis Royal Zoo, one of Europe’s
oldest (and still best kept) zoos, and Hortus Botanicus, one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world. It's also an ideal setting for the Dutch outpost of St Petersburg’s Hermitage.
