I spent 3 nights in this hotel ... It is not the best, steep stairs and would have to write a system for the management ... I have to say congratulations, thanks to the staff who solved as well as possible my problem ... 5 stars deserve... Thanks for all

For the price which I paid, I was satisfied. Central area of, room is small, bathroom also small, old looking but cosy. Close to everything. was there to sleep only and explore city which is incredible.

I definitely do not think the place is as bad as the reviews make it out to be. It's a basic one star. Only thing I didn't like was the stairs. No help from any staff when trying to bring 3 cases up 3 flights of steep dangerous stairs. Also I think the 150 deposit to ensure you won't smoke...

We stayed here for 3 nights last weekend, and I was expecting a lot worse! I would usually check TripAdvisor before booking any accommodation, but this trip I panic-booked as the hotel came up as a deal on the Ryanair website after booking flights. AFTER pre-paying for the stay I looked up the hotel on here and was horrified at...

When booking for 7 young adults, sometimes there is an issue, However! Hotel Ajax was perfect for us! A room for 2 and a big room for 5! The rooms were very neat and tidy and bedding and towels changed daily! Free Wifi, which worked on all phones! Without issue we were allowed later check out on the Sunday at...

My wife booked this place for myself and my son so we could attend the DocsForSale market where he is promoting a film he made. As an IRON RULE, my wife always looks for, books and pays for places that have "free" (included) WiFi and some form of breakfast. Ajax offers this option - included breakfast- though as a rule,...

I strongly advise to whomever is considering this 'hotel', consider somewhere else. There is a cat to greet you at the top of a horrendous flight of stairs (which are not sturdy), who's hairs and smell linger throughout every point. The cat's 'bed' and food lays at the bottom of another flight of stairs and it is absolutely revolting. There...

Small rooms, no isolation whatsoever. Breakfast that was fit for dogs. Toilet was a joke, could sh-it, shower and shave at the same time. Service was terrible. Location was the only positive thing about this extremely malnourished hotel. Will never book it again.

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
