I tried Tulips B&B during a business trip. This cozy and gracious b&b along the channel can boast of being in a super strategic position, well connected to the most attractive sites of the city and surrounded by pubs shops and restaurants, but also far from the noisy of the street. A few words are necessary to describe how pleased...

My wife and I have recently returned from a long weekend visit to this B and B. We were greeted by Nikki who gave us maps and a guide to the highlights of the City before showing us to our room on the top floor. Being a typical Dutch house the stairway was spiral and narrow. The room was towards...

Great B&B stayed for two nights i would have happily stayed longer here. David and Chris are excellent hosts who were more than happy to answer any of my questions about Amsterdam. The B&B is situated in a really nice place as well next to the canal and coffee shops! The red light district is only one or two canals...

I stayed 7 nights in this B&B as a solo traveller, and only have good things to say about it. Not just the location which is walking distance to every single museum and attraction in Amsterdam, but the genuine warmth and hospitality of Chris and David. Even their cat is friendly. Reasonably priced for the good quality you get. Highly...

We spent two nights at this b&b and had a great stay. David and Chris were excellent hosts, welcoming us with a drink and a quick guide to the area. The room was perfect and had a lovely supply of snacks and drinks including fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereal, wine and chocolates. Stairs to room are very steep as this is...

Have just enjoyed an Easter two nights in this pretty and welcoming bed and breakfast. The décor is colourful and the place comfortable and clean. Lovely do it yourself breakfast and smack right in the middle of the city but with no noise or hassle. Would recommend it to anyone and will do. Owners very nice and friendly.

We had a very nice stay at the Tulip of Amsterdam B&B for 3 nights. We were met by Nikki who was all smiles and very helpful upon our arrival. She gave us a map of the city and came with suggestions of activities for us and answered all our practical questions. We were shown to our loft room on...

The Tulip of Amsterdam was absolutely perfect. The service was great. Everyday my wife and me would go out on our daily wonders, checking out what amazing things this wonderful city has to offer and we would come back to refills of drinks in the fridge (they even had Soya milk which I use, to make tea or coffee which...

Lovely place. Nicky and Chris were incredibly helpful and nice. The localization was perfect; we walked everywhere. The breakfast in the room was a wonderful idea. The only problem are the stairs if you don´t like or have a problem with them. I recomend it (by the way, I am a little over regarding cleanliness and has nothing to say...

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
