It's been a long time since visiting Amsterdam and even longer since I've experienced such a genuinely warm welcome and fantastic service at a B&B thanks to David & Chris, the owners. They were always around to see if we needed anything for the room or information for sightseeing. It was the first time to Amsterdam for my wife and...

We just came back from Amsterdam where we stayed in the Tulip of Amsterdam B&B. We chose to stay there mostly because of the very good reviews that we read on Trip Advisor. The reviews proved to be true and then some! The location is very central and you find yourself in walking distance of every attraction and museum in...

We stayed in the B&B at the beginning of June and we were welcomed by Chris who is a great guy. He gave us a map and recommended lots of places for us to visit and he gave us cards for the restaurant Café Piazza which is next door but one. The card entitles you to a free drink, and...

Chose the Tulip for our 3 night stay in Amsterdam for its central location and favourable TA reviews. Booked on line with the B & B. We arrived at 9 AM and stored our luggage. Chris and David were excellent source of local info and off we went sightseeing until the 2 PM check-in time. Four of us booked the...

We stayed at the Jordaan View Apartment. It is not located within the Tulip B&B (but rather in the Jordaan neighborhood), but is related to the Tulip and can be booked through their website. The apartment was extremely clean, well furnished, with modern appliances. Coffee maker. Teapot. Stovetop. Dish washer. Refrigerator. Great bathroom. Great bedroom. Amazing view onto the canal....

I tried Tulips B&B during a business trip. This cozy and gracious b&b along the channel can boast of being in a super strategic position, well connected to the most attractive sites of the city and surrounded by pubs shops and restaurants, but also far from the noisy of the street. A few words are necessary to describe how pleased...

My wife and I have recently returned from a long weekend visit to this B and B. We were greeted by Nikki who gave us maps and a guide to the highlights of the City before showing us to our room on the top floor. Being a typical Dutch house the stairway was spiral and narrow. The room was towards...

Great B&B stayed for two nights i would have happily stayed longer here. David and Chris are excellent hosts who were more than happy to answer any of my questions about Amsterdam. The B&B is situated in a really nice place as well next to the canal and coffee shops! The red light district is only one or two canals...

I stayed 7 nights in this B&B as a solo traveller, and only have good things to say about it. Not just the location which is walking distance to every single museum and attraction in Amsterdam, but the genuine warmth and hospitality of Chris and David. Even their cat is friendly. Reasonably priced for the good quality you get. Highly...

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
