We stayed here last year and I have just recently become a TripAdvisor member and thought I owed these two a review for how well they treated us. Amsterdam was our last stop of our European tour and we came to stay here because my Aunt had ranted and raved for weeks about this little B&B from her previous trip....

The Tulip of Amsterdam was perfect for my business trip to AMS. The location right next to Nieumarkt metro station is perfect and the B&B is located in a beautiful street. My room was spacious and the breakfast spread was far better that you would get in a hotel of a comparable price. The wifi worked very well throughout. Chris...

David and Chris are the perfect hosts, very helpful and accommodating. Great size room and very comfortable with a kitchen for your breakfast with everything you need. Perfect location, you can walk to all the main attractions and everything from restaurants to supermarkets at your door step. I will definitely be back. Thanks

It's good I bumped on this B&B during my online search. Location is so perfect, near and accessible to everything and anything. Met David (unfortunately Chris was not there) he's so accommodating, friendly and nice. He suggested notable places to visit and resto's to try. He willingly helped us with our luggage. Specially with the steep staircase. At least we...

I would HIGHLY recommend the Tulip of Amsterdam B&B. You will not be sorry if you stay there. Chris and David were both very nice and so helpful in helping us find restaurants and our way around the city. The location is right in the heart of everything and so much to do so close. We will DEFINITELY stay there...

When we first arrived, there was a bit of confusion because there isn't a sign outside, but I believe that is the whole point of this wonderful B&B - to make you not feel like a guest at a hotel (for us at least), but at home. We had a warm welcome from David and Chris, whom both pay very...

This is a great place, very centrally located. An easy walk to the train station or anywhere else in the center of town, and right at the Nieuwmarkt metro station if you don't want to walk. David and Chris were very welcoming and super helpful, and recommended a great place for dinner. There was a fully loaded refridgerator in the...

First of all, I have to say that my wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon. The worst part of our trip was that we didn't stay here the entire time. Unfortunately, we found this gem on our last night. The service was impeccable. The room was romantic and exquisite. The breakfast was delicious and abundant! We have stayed...

This little gem is just precious. Charming rooms, kind hosts, amazing breakfast in a fully equipped kitchen, location could not be better. I will definitely stay there next time. Highly recommend. The hosts were also very helpful in pointing out tours and had boat tickets for a very nice tour of the canals readily available.

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
