Stayed for 2 nights in a group of seven friends, it is within walking distance of everything pretty much! Which was ideal for us! A few minutes from centraal station which made the transfer from the airport incredibly easy. The hotel is great, the man on reception on arrival was very helpful and patient with us (we had a few...

The hotel is in the heart of the city...right across the road from the central station. We found the hotel staff to be friendly and accomodating. We arrived in amsterdam early and were very tired. We were so thankful that they allowed us to check in almost 3 hours before check in time. The hotel reception area can deceive you...

Had a peaceful Stay. Even though rooms were small, they were quite decent. Traveled with friends and one of my friend had a very stinking room, which we had to argue to get changed. The front Office was very efficient and helpful. The morning breakfast was excellent with very warm service staff. Located right opposite the central station and with...

We were dropped off in the center at a line of many hotels. Some had no vacancy signs and of the remaining choices Hotel Multatuli seemed like a winner. Looks, as they often are, can be decieving. Firstly we were checked in, they must have seen us coming as we gave a £50 deposit but on leaving were repeatedly refused...

Near the shopping back alleys where there are lots of stuff to buy and away from the tourist streets, and just opposite the train station... Booking a taxi to the airport at fixed rates was the added convenience..and the hotel is only accessible by guest with the door controlled by the receptionist.

Two of my friends were stuck in Amsterdam and needed a place to stay overnight. I found this cheap hotel close to the Central Station, filed a booking on their website and called the hotel to confirm that everything is set. The hotel confirmed that the room is ready and my friends are welcome. When my friends came, the reception...

I booked this Hotel on the basis of it's location to Centraal Station, literally across the road. From here you can walk to all the major attractions of the Old Town within a few minutes, or get a Tram to travel further, to places like the Rijksmuseum which are still not that far away. The Double Room we booked was...

The location is amazing! Literally across the road from Centraal station. A short walk to attractions like Dam Square and the Red Light district. The room was clean and well equipped. The coffee machine in the room is one of those pod type ones similar to a Nespresso machine which was quite cool. Breakfast was basic but adequate, we certainly...

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
