A very good, centrally situated, budget priced hotel. Good value for money but it is a small and rather plain room, clean with a shower and ensuite.A good breakfast is included. Perfect position for exploring the city-just behind Dam Square. Good food at the attached restaurant. Free internet.

good hotel for this price. Clean, nice staff. Room is very small. There are 3 restaurants for the hotel owner, all of them are great and you have 10% discount from the hotel. Breakfast is good enough.

We stayed here for a night, 3 guys in one room. Hotel is pretty small and rooms also. Hotel is near the main market and main roaming area. It does serves breakfast but no other meal. Overall I recommend to book some other hotel in advance as the price for this hotel is generally 100 euro per room and Radisson...

Group of my finds and I stayed here in September. Basic hotel but very helpful staff. Location was excellent. Breakfast was on till late morning for those wanting a sleep in. And the tables outside were perfect for enjoying ur morning coffee and people watching. I would stay here again without a doubt

Decent budget hotel only 10-15 min walk from Amsterdam centraal station... breakfast was good and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was a bit dated but still was ok for the cost. I recommend the Mexican restaurant opposite the hotel, if you tell them your staying at hotel doria and show your room key and confirm your room number you...

After 5 weeks in Europe and around 15 hotels, this hotel was in the top for service The hotel is not new, but the staff compensate by their efforts to accommodate you Breakfast was included and we expected a very small continental breakfast To our surprised it is a serve yourself approach and if you want to have a large...

This place is a no airs no graces kind of restaurant where the food and the way it tastes is the priority. We had 4 different dishes and all of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals and would definitely come again. Pricing was was reasonable. Thanks for a great experience and a happy belly!

VERY central and close to everything added to that value for the area. However still pricey in relation to other hotels we have stayed at in the "budget" bracket. Having said that I would still recommend this hotel, staff are friendly but the room was very dated. No kettle, fridge in the room - I think you could ask for...

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighbourhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
