Dear Ms. Catherine, Thank you for your recent stay at NH Amsterdam Centre. I am sorry to hear that you were present at the hotel lobby when we we facing issues with our drains. Unfortunately, the problem was out of our control. The external company we work with had some renovation problems which had an impact on our hotel as well. I regret to hear that the check-in took a long time. As well that you were misinformed about the 50 euros deposit taken at check-in. The deposit is taken for any incidentials that might be used during your stay, as well as for the city tax that is still open to pay at check-out. An example of any extra's that might be used during our guests' stay could be breakfast, dinner or drinks in the bar or an item of the mini bar. Regarding the mini bar item that has been charged, would you please be so kind to send us an e-mail of your invoice or send us an e-mail with your full name. I would like to eloborate more on what went wrong during the check-out. Please do not hesitate to contact us the next time if there is something in the room not working properly, if we would have known then we would take immediate action. Ms. Catherine, I am sorry to hear that your stay was not up to your satisfaction. Hopefully we will have the pleasure to welcome you back in the future. Great location for sightseeing and food, very friendly staff and free cocktail on arrival. Our first room on the second floor was very noisy due to the night club so reception moved us to 6th floor which was nice and quiet. We had a great stay and will use the hotel again.

Situated next to the Marriott on leidesplein the hotel is perfect for visiting all the tourist attractions. From the exterior the hotel looks nothing and you would think dated but as you enter it is modern and welcoming. We were upgraded free of charge and stayed in room 601

Is there a bus or tram from the airport? If so, which one?
Dear Sir, Thank you for your message. The hotel is most easy to reach via the bus number 397. It will take you within 40 minutes to the Leidsesquare. If you get out at that specific stop, you will be almost at our hotel. The bus will departure in front of the Schiphol Plaza and goes frequently. Dear Mandi, From central station you can take either tram 2 or tram 11 to the stop ''Leidseplein''. From there you can already see the hotel. These trams will leave from the central station approximately every 3 minutes. With kind regards, Rob van der Beek Hotel Director
