The room was confortable and light we had enought space for two. The hotel is really quiet (well depending on your neighboors of course) and is really near to the center, 15 min walking and four-five stations of tram. PS: It's also nice to have free candy at the register :)

I stayed in this hotel for a long weekend and was in an excellent location! 20 min walk to the City Centre and never had to use any trams/buses. The hotel staff are very friendly (our remote for the TV did not work and the man on reception was very helpful). The only thing is the room did not get...

hotel was okay for the price we'd pay.steps were extremely steep, not adapted to older people. Also the mattresses were not that comfortable, but okay for a few night. Windows were not really closeable. Added together the stay was okay but focused on younger visitors.

Its good if you want your privacy, they dont bother you.Very discreed people. Not bad room but if you are on the 3rd floor you will hate the stairs. The big room at 3rd floor its nice, the other its too small but cheaper ,i think.

We stayed at the small attic room number 34. Positive remarks: -Automatic vending machines at the reception that offer coffee and snacks -Pc with internet connection at the reception Negative remarks: -We asked two months ago for a double bed, but they gave as two joined single beds that were really unstable due to the wheels on the bottom. -There...

I highly recommend this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They expected my arrival and were prepared for the special requirements I had specified when I was booking the room. They carried my bag to the top floor for me. I stayed in one of the attic rooms - it was clean and quiet, and very cosy. The...

Friendly, competent staff. Very basic room, with terrible mattresses but clean. Close to city centre and all attractions. Great diner next door for breakfast, and lots of restaurants in the area to choose from.

Nice hotel in central Amsterdam close to main Amsterdam attractions. Wide rooms, free wifi, nice receptionists, clean bathroom. I will repeat when I come back to Amsterdam. I would recommend it to anyone.

Staying in Plantage & the East

Neighbourhood Profile
Plantage & the East
The eastern edge of central Amsterdam provides visitors with the chance to imagine the city that Rembrandt called home (and to tour his historic house) while shopping like the thriftiest of locals at Waterlooplein’s massive flea market, or even enjoying a craft beer beside the tallest wooden windmill in The Netherlands. This verdant, serene, and stately part of town is home to Artis Royal Zoo, one of Europe’s oldest (and still best kept) zoos, and Hortus Botanicus, one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world. It's also an ideal setting for the Dutch outpost of St Petersburg’s Hermitage.
