The room and location was fine, just near the Zoo. I wouldn't recommend this Hotel as the front door was broken, so anyone could walk into the Hotel. The reception desk was literally on a tiny landing right outside our room. What was also concerning, it was difficult to enter or exit the Hotel as building materials were stored in...

I stayed there in November and this hotel is really good lowcost. It has good location, just next to the tram station (numbers 9,14). The trains will get you to the city centre to see Amsterdam. The attic room was nice and comfy. There was big bathroom with shower :)

this is a good hotel, the room was nice and big but the washbassin is in the wrong wall, you should change it (right wall in the corner or in front the door). The TV was out of order as was the wifi , but the hotel is in a nice avenue near the zoo.

I will not recommend this hotel to anyone. The hotel was under renovation and it wasn't advised to us before. Whatever we asked the answer was a NO. Very bad service. The staff wasn't friendly and helpful. WIFI wasn't working.

could hear the room next to us having sex everyday. Didn't make the bed everyday only on request. Changed the towels some days though. Rubbish bins were already full when we got there. Wifi worked off and on. Quite far from city by foot

The hallway and stairs to this hotel need a lick of paint. Very dated and neglected. Rooms were okay. Bathroom was quite big. On the Saturday morning when I got up I noticed mouse droppings on the table. Later on that day the mouse made an appearance 3 times!! We were moved rooms but it dampened our experience as we...

Staying in Plantage & the East

Neighbourhood Profile
Plantage & the East
The eastern edge of central Amsterdam provides visitors with the chance to imagine the city that Rembrandt called home (and to tour his historic house) while shopping like the thriftiest of locals at Waterlooplein’s massive flea market, or even enjoying a craft beer beside the tallest wooden windmill in The Netherlands. This verdant, serene, and stately part of town is home to Artis Royal Zoo, one of Europe’s oldest (and still best kept) zoos, and Hortus Botanicus, one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world. It's also an ideal setting for the Dutch outpost of St Petersburg’s Hermitage.
