This small and chic hotel fitted me and my 3 friends perfectly. We had booked the apartment sleeping 4 and were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The owner welcomed us and showed us our apartment that wasn't actually in the same building as the hotel. It had our own living room, kitchen and two double beds and a single bed...

I stay in Amsterdam quite often and I have to say that this is one of the nicer hotels that I have stayed in. We stayed in a front room with a gorgeous view over the Amstel - it was quaint and very comfortable. The service was excellent ! Breakfast was pretty good I would definitely stay here again !

We had a lovely stay in this picturesque hotel, for my recent birthday, don't expect the Ritz, it's the old shabby chic all the way look, which lends it's self to it's conveniently placed setting, just set back from the canal and a 10 - 15 minutes walk from Central Station where the hustle and bustle of the main shopping...

We stayed briefly here but it was a great stay. Easy to make a reservation and the location is perfect- on a quiet street across from a canal but easy walking distance to everywhere you want to go. There are four floors with a tiny elevator to get you there. We stayed on the top floor in the family room...

I stayed at this place for two nights on a July weekend. True, the place has charm, but the price is totally unjustified. I kept waking up both nights, either because of partying noise on the street (even at 3:30 am !) or because of mosquitos. The room was tiny and the light bulb above bathroom mirror didn't work, and...

Had to wait for 20 minutes before somebody showed up to check in. Got a room in an adjacent house; very spacy ... but so oldfashioned and outdated. Cleaning was so so; Entrance of that house .... pffff just for one time ok. Breakfast ... tried it, but not to recommend ... and so slow. Will not visit anymore

I visited Amsterdam on 8-10/4 and stays in this hotel. It's small nice hotel really close on foot to many important places. And just a 2' walk from Waterloo station. Clean and renovated rooms, a bit narrow though. Lovely reception and a wonderful breakfast room. Really polite people!

I had one of the worst experiences at this hotel ever. Myself and my partner checked in on my birthday and had a nap, only to find that there were two insects crawling on our beds. We didn't think much of it at the time and went out to explore. We came back to the room at about 24:00, as...

The location of the hotel is great, on a not very busy street right on a canal and close to main sites in Amsterdam. Staff were friendly and helpful. We were there for only one night and the small bedrooms did not present a problem for this short stay. For a longer stay we would have had problems with insufficient...

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
