Deciding to walk from Centraal Station, we followed the step by step directions Carlos provided, which took us from the hustle and bustle of the main area to the tranquil and scenic canals. What a relief! After nearly getting knocked down by a bicycle and seeing the commercial strecth of Damrak I have to confess my initial impression was one...

Oh my god as Carlos would say !! We went to Amsterdam for the Madonna concert and it was a toss up who was more entertaining Carlos or Madonna and Madonna was brilliant! Carlos and Rufian are very friendly and welcoming. This is not an everything in "apple pie order" style of hotel and that's what gives it so much...

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time at the Sunhead. We decided to walk from the Central Station to the guest house, which was a good idea, and not that far either. We got a feeling of Amsterdam while walking along the canals and beautiful houses. Both of us would definitely recommend the Sunhead, where we stayed for four...

Our trip to Amsterdam was simply perfect having stayed at Carlos and Rolfs wonderful bed and breakfast. But really this was far more than bed and breakfast. Our hosts went out of their way to help us with everything a trip to a new city entails, including Rolf taking us on a boat trip on our last morning. We stayed...

We spent the weekend in Amsterdam and had a great time experiencing all the best things about the city, and staying at Sunhead helped to make it even more special. Its on a beautifully picturesque road in Amsterdam alongside the canal and comfortable walking distance from wherever we wanted to go, even getting to and from the train station. As...

Carlos even gave us a bottle of wine because we were in a honey moon trip and Rouef took us on a lovely boat...

We stayed in the Sunflower apartment, which had wonderful views of Herengracht canal. It was a 5min stroll from Dam Square, the pretty and very relaxing artists area 'Jordaan' and Ann Franks House. A perfect location with the most hospitable, friendly and humerous host 'Carlos' who served a delicious breakfast and really looked after us with his recommendations. It was...

Perfect beginning for our recent trip. Location, location, location. Canal location. Nice walks to everything we were interested in doing! Perfect host! Extraordinary breakfast in gleaming, artistic area of restored home. Had the chance to experience two lovely rooms and while we prefered the Red Tulip we also enjoyed the Yellow Narcissus. Wonderful suggestions from our host as to where...

We stayed at the Sunhead B & B for 5 nights in May. It was terrific. The location was central and right on a canal. The hosts Carlos and Roelf were friendly and informative. The morning breakfasts were very delicious and varied. Our room was on the top floor, small but certainly adequate. The stairs (no elevator) were steep and...

Yes, you can believe all the wonderful positive comments about this B & B. The location couldn't be better; the hosts are kind, helpful, and amusing; and you cannot beat the experience of staying in an Amsterdam canal house.
