I submitted a review last week about this property. It was not negative. As is their habit, the owners carefully disputed my negative points. Their reply actually used my name, which, as you can see, I do not care to reveal. Their property has merit. They have issues. We had a good time. I don't want to deal with their...

We gave Maes a five star review after our stay two years ago. We loved our room on the canal, the made to order breakfast, and host Vlad. That's why we chose to stay there this time. First, we didn't get our canal room this time. Instead, we were on the third floor of a 1700s era apartment a block...

We stayed for a week thinking that the pictures sent by Ken were pretty good, how wrong can you be, we ended up at number twenty which is not the main property, the access on two flights of stairs, VERY steep first flight 17 steps second flight 15 steps. We never did see Ken he had gone back to Switzerland,...

Dear Mr and Mrs MacDonald, Thanks for the very discerning review about your stay with us. Unfortunately you more or less just got confused with all the photos and websites we have our B&B's listed on and manage bookings for plus the 17 emails and 3 telephone calls we made to you to explain all that transpires in our B&B's....

Just left our 5 night stay at Maes B & B and we couldn't have been happier. The correspondence prior to arrival was swift and responsive. The owners like to have your flight arrival information and check it for any delays etc. They are waiting for you, ready for your arrival. We stayed in the yellow suite which was the...

My husband and I booked last minute for new year and so were surprised that maes bnb, recommended in the lonely planet and several places online, had a room available. We stayed in the loft suite which is actually a few doors down from the main bnb in the annex. I think it is a bit more expensive But we...

This is the perfect place to base your stay in Amsterdam. It has a great location, a quiet area close and within walking distance to most attractions. The room was very quiet overlooking a green treed area. Vlad is the perfect host, providing for all your needs. Every morning we would awake in our cosy lofted room to the smell...

We loved our stay at the Maes & Heren B & B. Vlad was looking for us and helped us find the place, as we were a little out of it after an overnight flight. The mobile app was great for finding nearby restaurants, and finding your way, like Google maps, but without using any data. We were in the...

We stayed for 2 nights here in August 2016 and had a very comfortable stay. The yellow suite of rooms was spacious, clean and bright and there was also a kitchen and living room space available for guests. The breakfasts were yummy and we especially enjoyed the pancakes and baking! Vlad was very helpful with information about Amsterdam and his...

We found this B&B simply through Google, and verified availability with the operator (Vlad). Rooms at this B&B are actually split over two adjacent houses, with our room at No. 20. The room was fine (OK, not huge, but nothing is in Europe), but the bonus is the lovely fully equipped kitchen available to guests, and rooftop garden terrace which...
